Castle under the mountain..Crumbles

It has been close to three weeks since Thorin left for King Lin's castle to show his respects.

During that time, I have worried since I have not received any news..Dis tries to not show she is worried, but I can tell it is because of me..She knows of my growing feelings of her brother..I have never felt more at loss as I have without Thorin being here.

Ra and Cleo are now flying perfectly well and are at the size of me not able to hold them on my shoulders..But they know where their boundaries lie and know to keep Dis, Gandalf or myself in their sights at all times.

But there seems to be more of a growing problem than Thorin being gone at the moment or the young dragons..

See the day of Nina's wedding, I had noticed there were a slight shaking in the mountain, a few times since then along with a light dusting of rubble. It has bothered me enough to have Balin and a few others to check for what could be causing the shaking of the mountain.

So far nothing was found..

But with my worries I took it up with Dis, Bard and Balin who served as King in Thorin's stead..

Bard excepted the young and elder dwarves that lived in the castle, to stay in the city of Dale till Thorin's return.

Bard wanted all of us to stay in the city...but there was no way I'd leave..for at the moment it was the closest thing I had of Thorin..His mountain he loved so much.

Dis and I would make daily checks on our people in Dale,,, but on this day..We wouldn't make our daily visit to Dale..

Gandalf had left early this month to go get my sister Sonya and Legolas to be here on my wedding day..

But on this day, the shaking of the mountain bothered me..I just had to go looking for trouble.

Earlier, Balin told me and Dis where 'Smaug' once resided..That is where I would go looking for trouble.

Standing on a ledge over looking a massif floor full of gold and jewels..There were so much that it would take an eternity to use..Who would want this much and why?

Ra and Cleo flew over the area of the gold that spanned out over at least two football fields..I whistled for their return.

"Dis, any reason for steam coming up through the gold?" I asked as I stood seeing lots of places where steam was visible.

"Steam could be from anything, but the gold sinking may not be a good sign.." Come lets leave this place." Dis said as Ra and Cleo flew ahead of us to leave the area we were in..They got out in time..

Dis and myself were not so lucky.

Columns began to crumble, walls and walkways began to fall away..leaving Dis and myself trapped.

Dis took my hand as we ran hard and as fast as we could to a small room that looked to have housed the dwarves tools and such.

Feeling safe for a time and to catch our breath.

Wall of stone from above fell between Dis and myself, separated the two of us.

Dis yelled at me from her side of the wall.

"Elise are you alright?" Dis yelled.

"Yes, I am fine, just try not to breath in the dust falling." I yelled back as I noticed a small place in the wall I might be able to crawl through to get to Dis..

But another rumble put a damper on that idea, stopping all escape.

The crumbling of the castle was not finished, I was hit, everything went quiet & black in my world.
