Fire and Ice

Times Up..

Woke up to remembering nothing...nothing but the scent of meat being cooked, the scent of horse meat..Something I never want to smell again, since the meat still had hair on it as it was being cooked.

I am now fully awake...back in my room, back at the castle under the mountain.

"Lady Elise, you are finally awake." An Elder female dwarf said as she laid her knitting aside..

"Why am I back here?" And secondly, how did I come to be back here?" I asked still trying to figure out for myself what has happened.

"Do ye not remember child?" Our King Thorin and the grey wizard found you and brought you home..Ye have been out for a little over three days.." Forgive me, I am Mia, Balin's wife..**(Note Itried looking for a wife of Balin and found none, so she is made up.)

I couldn't help but notice how sweet of a dwarf Mia was..

"Forgive me for being rude, so nice to meet you.." But where is King Thorin now?" I asked throwing the covers back for me to get up.

"He is meeting with the Elf elders." Mia said as I got into my black medical bag for some aspirin, took all four with nothing to drink, I will pay for that later.

After dressing in a hurry, I gathered Ra & Cleo and headed down stairs where I heard loud speaking in many languages..well two different languages..Durin & Elfish..Then back to english.

"You can not do this to our kin folk Thorin, our blood line needs to stay pure." King Lin said as I came up to the grand hall.

"I agree...and I rarely agree with your kind, as I see it, the human has almost died under your care Oakenshield." Give us the human and we will protect her and train her and her dragons." Lady Galadriel said.

"Now going a bit too far she elf, how is it fair that you get the dragons?" King Lin asked.

"Elise left here on her accord and almost caused her own demise." If must I will force her into a union of marriage." Thorin said as I hated even those words coming from him, but he is right..

"Good-morning everyone." Couldn't help but hear every word being said." I see the Elf kin has come to start trouble where none needs be." King Thorin is right, I did leave on my own, I have been safe till I left the mountain and his protection." I said standing there beside of Gandalf.

"How are you this morning Elise?" Gandalf asked in almost a whisper.

"Good thank you." I said seeing Thranduil has made his way to the meeting.

"Time is up Lady Elise." Galadriel said.

"Time is up for what?" I already told you that I won't be going back with you." I said as I placed my hands on my hips.

"Starting to sound like one of us." Nori whispered to Dwalin who just stood there trying to still figure me out, then he and Nori glanced at Thorin s if waiting.

"What is her time limit to become....my Queen?" Thorin asked as I glanced at King Elrond who slightly bowed his head to me before I hung my head.

Closed my eyes knowing this wasn't how I wanted it to be for Thorin...But if it keeps me from the clutches of Galadriel and the elves...I'd marry the devil himself..

"Again Thorin, this is not right. A human as a Durin Queen." King Lin yelled as he stood slamming his large fists on the table.

Gandalf noticed I held the document in the clutch of my fist..He nodded toward it.

"Here is my right and the proof that I have right to be Queen." I said not believing the words coming out of my mouth as I placed the open document before King Lin as Thorin's men glanced over King Lin's shoulder to take a look as well.

I slowly looked to Thorin as if to say..."They have won". But the look on his face told me he was pleased with the outcome.

Galadriel looked to Elrond & Gandalf, and she was not pleased at all.

"This proves nothing." King Lin stated.

"But you are wrong King Lin, Lady Elise is the Mother of Dragons and has been foretold of her coming and her union with Thorin and becoming Queen of the House of Durin." Elrond said stepping up as he petted Ra..Thorin even looked to Elrond for speaking up.

"Then we are finished here." Thorin stated as he leaned back in his seat.

I stepped back between Elrond & Gandalf..Knowing this meeting won't end well.

"Elrond, how is it that she has the Durin document?" It was in our archives." Galadriel asked.

"I gave it to Thorin since it is his future." Gandalf said glancing at Elrond.

"That document means nothing, future can be changed." Thranduil growled as he stared daggers at Thorin as King Lin nodded his head in agreement.

"I thought both races, dwarves & elves disliked humans." I said leaning toward Gandalf as I got a kick out of watching this soap opera unfold.

"Doesn't seem that way does it my lady." Power goes to the one you make King..and that being Thorin.

"Damn and here I thought they loved me for my glowing personality." I said crossing my arms as Gandalf looked down at me with one raised eyebrow.

"So control of those damn fire breathing lizards are the link between Oakenshield and the mother of dragons..then I believe any female can be mother of those dragons." King Lin said as Thorin stood up when he saw a smile cross my lips as I looked to Lin's daughter Nina.

"You know I was thinking the same damn thing..care to try my dragons with your daughter?" I asked as Thorin placed a hand on my arm to stop me.

"Enough Elise." Thorin said as I pulled away from him.

"No, no it will never be enough." I said as King Lin made his daughter stand up.

"Yes Nina, prove all here wrong..You as well can control the dragons." King Lin said as I watched Nina glance at Bofur before walking over to stand in front of me. I looked to Thorin who saw the same thing I saw..He cocked his head in confusion at Nina and his dwarf Bofur.

Thorin & Gandalf stood close in-case some thing went wrong with the dragons & Nina.

Cleo is my aggressor of the two when it comes to people..She slithered down my arm..I was getting worried for Nina as she showed fear as her eyes met mine.

Slowly Nina outstretched her hand to Cleo.

Cleo hissed and sparks came out of her mouth as Ra came to Cleo's defense. Nina jumped back and ran to the protection of her parents.

"Girl, you caused that creature to do that." King Lin spit out his words & hatred for me.

"They did the same thing to Lady Galadriel, Elise has nothing to do with it..anytime the dragons feel that Elise is in danger the little ones will act." Gandalf growled.

"Now this is enough...the dragons have choose their mother and Thorin has chosen his Queen.."It is now all on Elise to hold it together." Elrond said as Ra left me to go to Elrond.

"Tell me, how is it the dragons know who their King is?" Balin asked.

"That is where all of this is wrong..The dragons do not choose their King..The mother of Dragons chooses and it seems that Lady Elise has chosen Thorin weather she likes to hear this or not." Elrond said as he allowed Ra to go to Thorin.

"And now we all must worry about the dark wars that will come since the dragons & their mother have arrived.." Elrond said as Gandalf went explaining something about Rings.

At least I still have time to train my dragons, they are not big enough to fight beside dwarves, elves or humans in the dark war.

I am now the glue that will keep all races together for one final battle..A battle I hope I am dead and gone so not to witness.
