As the summer started to come to a close Leah and I started to plan a road trip. I have been working a lot at the hardware store to save up some money for the trip. Over the past month I have been talking to Lynn and she wants me to come up and visit her. With a lot of begging my moms are letting me go visit for a week. Once I told Leah about the plans she wanted to come along.

Carmen and Gabby put up a big fight with letting Leah go. It took them two weeks to finally make a decision, Leah is coming with me. And not only because my beautiful girlfriend is smart she suggested we make it a road trip instead of flying. I was all for it. Leah and I mapped out the route we wanted to go and where we wanted to stop along the way.

When Lauren found out what we were doing she wanted to come too. Carmen and Gabby struck that down quickly though. Over the course of the summer I would say that the middle sister and I have become closer. She has reached out to me a few times for help when she was slipping. Leah was dumbfounded at how I could get through to Lauren so 'easily' as she put it. I think it's because she is still like an outsider looking in on the situation. It's kind of like me trying to fully understand her diabetes. All throughout the summer I have become better on picking up signs that her sugar is low and things like that but I still feel like I have the whole picture.

But any way, it's going to take two days to drive up there. We are going to be stopping in Washington DC for the night. All I know is that this trip is going to be amazing. I'll be driving most of the way but now that Leah has her license she will be able to take over a little bit.

I'm really nervous and really excited right now because todays the day. We are leaving in a little bit for Boston and I can barely contain myself. I'm picking Leah up in a few minutes, after I say goodbye to my moms and Uncle Trent.

"If you have any problems please call us. You have the emergency card if you need more than the money you have." Kristin said.

"I bought you a full sized spare tire and it's in the bed of the truck along with tools you may need to change it and stuff in case you get stuck somewhere." Taylor said.

"Guys please try and relax, nothing bad is going to happen and if something does, you will be the first people I call." I said as they both pulled me into a hug.

"Call us every night please." Kristin said as she let go of me.

"I will, you guys can also track my phone and the truck so you will know where I am at all times." I said.

"True, you have my card in case you get pulled over or arrested right?" Taylor asked.

"Yes, I have it. If I don't leave soon I'm going to be late." I said as they hugged me again.

"Be good now kiddo and don't do anything I wouldn't do. Here, just in case you get mugged." Uncle Trent said before handing me a pocketknife.

"Trent you are not giving our daughter a knife." Kristin said and tried to take it from my hand.

"It's legal don't worry about it, now go before they grab you and don't let go." Trent said and pushed me towards the door.

I took this as a sign and grabbed my backpack before running to the door. I got to my truck and put my backpack in the back seat of the cab and looked back at the house. I waved back at my mothers before getting into the truck and driving off to my girlfriend's house.

When I got there I could see Leah through the window pacing back and forth. Her bags are waiting out on the porch as I turn off the truck. I knocked on the door and when it opened a few seconds later it revealed Nina, the youngest of the three sisters.
