It's not that I don't like my family, I love my family, but they just so happen to be unbelievably pushy, for instance, bringing me here, that was a mistake. They also call me by 'Christina' and I like 'Chrissy'.
I had gotten a tattoo of the infinity symbol on my left wrist, its the only tattoo I have, to be honest, I don't really want another, but they totally flipped the fuck out at me and showed up to my room with sand paper, of coarse i didn't let them sand it off, it was hard to get, because of my age.
"Passengers we have now landed in New York City, the city where dreams come true, if you are new, have a great trip, if your coming back, Welcome home. You may now exit the plane."
I roll my eyes at the overly enthusiastic voice, it's still dark and i don't know how the hell i'm supposed to find my apartment...
"Yeah i'm going to 143 Rochet residential building." I tell the taxi driver who smells like cigarettes and dirt.
"Aren't you you a little too young to have a place of your own?" says the cab driver.
"Aren't you a little too old to not have a fucking degree?" I spit, it wasn't meant to be so harsh... But he annoyed me.
"Toche'... Where are you from?" he asks me and starts driving, surprisingly, he laughed when I cussed him out.
"North Carolina, why?" I ask him, letting the bite in my voice ease, he winces slightly and i stare out the window leaning against the seat.
"You ever been too New York?" he asks, his voice a mix of concern and curiosity, I shake my head, still staring out the window, "it's a big city, very different from the south."
All i do is nod, tired from the flight, "how far is the building from here?" I ask him, he chuckles a bit.
"We're not even out of the terminal." i groan, throwing my head back in exasperation, how fucking big is this goddamn city?
