Sophie Foster POV
"What?!" cried Harry, looking shocked.
We all were shocked too. Even Vladimir looked startled.
"I was not aware of this," he said, "This is greatly surprising,"
"How?" asked Hermione, stepping forward, "H-he had to leave for an urgent matter..." she trailed off, probably realizing that that was a cover up story.
How did they catch him? I wondered, staring at the Crystal ball. Did they kidnap him somehow? But the big question is-
My thoughts were interrupted by Fitz saying: "So what do we do about this? We have to save him!"
I looked over at Fitz.
That was exactly what I was thinking.
But right then, memories flooded my head as I stared into Fitz's teal eyes, and remembered everything that happened before this mess with the Wizarding World.
Oralie.
My ability.
The fight.
Fitz.
And then, I realized, that among these days at Hogwarts, I had forgotten all about what was happening back in the Lost Cities.
I had even forgotten about the fight with Fitz.
But something had changed after that fight and all that had happened. When I looked at Fitz, my brain didn't squeal and my heart didn't skip beats anymore. I was more..... calm.
Did that fight tear us apart?
Did I really get over him?
Or does he think that we're still together?
Are we still together?
Arghhhhhhhhh!
But then, I snapped back into reality.
Big problem first, messy relationships later.
"I don't know," said Vladimir. Trying to stay calm as everybody shouted questions at him. But then he sighed. "I guess this is why you all are here anyway. To get your answers,"
"Wait," Tam said, "If you know why we're here, then you must have been looking at us in the crystal ball," Tam tugged his bangs. "I don't think I love the sound of that."
"But how did you find out what was going on from down here?" asked Keefe. "I assume you don't go out of this room pretty often. With all the traps and stuff," Keefe raised an eyebrow. "How did you get down here anyway?"
"Also," added Dex. "Why are you down here?"
"And why don't you escape from this small room?" said Biana, wrinkling her nose at the old, dusty room.
"Don't you want to know how he knows why we're here?" asked Glimmer. "That honestly sounds creepy."
Vladimir sighed. "It would do you better to know how I got here in the first place," Vladimir looked over at one of the shelves surrounding the room, and sighed again. "Then everything will make sense."
"Ok, then," I said. "Tell us,"
Vladimir cleared his throat, as if with that gulp he pushed down all the painful memories of his long life. "I am not a wizard," he started. " I'm actually an elf."
That first statement shocked us all.
Wait! I thought. So that's why he was able to live for so long!
