The school hallway was nearly empty, the faint echo of distant footsteps fading into silence. Sunghoon’s breath was heavy as he trailed closely behind Jake, his patience finally snapping.

"Jake!" he called out, his voice sharp, echoing through the hall.

Jake, who had been casually walking away, came to a halt. His shoulders stiffened, but he didn’t turn around. Instead, he let out a sigh, shoving his hands into his pockets. "Again?" he muttered. "You’re really getting on my nerves, you know that?"

Sunghoon took a step closer, jaw clenched. "I know the truth, Jake."

Jake let out a slow exhale before finally turning around, his cold eyes locking onto Sunghoon’s. "Oh? What truth are we talking about now?" He tilted his head, mocking. "You sure you’re not making things up in that little head of yours?"

"The child," Sunghoon said, voice steady. "Ari’s child. It’s yours, isn’t it?"

Jake’s smirk widened. A dark chuckle escaped his lips as he leaned back against the lockers. "Oh, that," he drawled. "And what if it is? What are you gonna do, Sunghoon? Beg me to take responsibility?"

Sunghoon narrowed his eyes. "I’m not here to beg. I just don’t understand why you’re acting like this."

Jake’s gaze darkened, and in an instant, he pushed himself off the lockers and took a step closer. "Why do you even care?" he hissed. "Since when is it your job to fix my mess?"

"Because you’re hurting them," Sunghoon shot back. "And because I know you, Jake. I know you’re not this heartless."

Jake laughed, the sound sharp like glass breaking. "You think you know me?" He leaned in, so close that Sunghoon could feel his breath. "You don’t know shit."

Sunghoon stood his ground. "Then prove me wrong. Say it to my face. Say that you don’t care about Ari. That you don’t care about the child."

Jake’s smirk faltered. A muscle in his jaw twitched. For a split second, something flickered in his eyes—hesitation, guilt. But then, his face hardened. He leaned in, lowering his voice to a cold whisper.

"I don’t care," he said, slowly, deliberately. "I don’t give a damn about them. And I sure as hell don’t care about you."

Sunghoon’s breath caught. His hands curled into fists at his sides, nails biting into his palms. "You’re lying," he murmured.

Jake tilted his head, a cruel glint in his eyes. "Believe what you want," he muttered, stepping back. "But do me a favor—stay out of my life."

With that, he turned and walked away, leaving Sunghoon standing alone in the empty hallway, his heart heavy with unspoken words and the weight of the truth he wasn’t ready to face.

A Few Days Later…

Sunghoon hadn’t spoken to Jake since their last argument, but it was eating him alive. He didn’t believe a word Jake said—he saw the hesitation, the flicker of something in his eyes before he walked away. He was lying. But why?

It was late afternoon when he finally found him again, sitting alone behind the school, cigarette in hand. The golden light from the setting sun cast long shadows across the ground, making the atmosphere feel heavier than it should.

"You really don’t give up, do you?" Jake muttered as he exhaled a puff of smoke. His face was unreadable, the usual smugness replaced with something else—something darker. "What do you want now, Sunghoon?"

"I want the truth," Sunghoon said, stepping closer. "You need to stop running, Jake. That child is yours, isn’t it?"

Jake clicked his tongue, setting his drink down on the bench beside him. His jaw tightened. "And what if it is?" he finally said, his voice laced with something between frustration and anger. "What do you expect me to do about it?"

"You’re going to take responsibility," Sunghoon shot back. "You’re not a coward. You can’t just leave them like this."

Jake let out a bitter chuckle and stood up, towering over Sunghoon. "And who are you to tell me what I should do?" he asked coldly. His dark eyes bore into Sunghoon’s with something unsettling, something between resentment and something else… something unreadable.

Sunghoon swallowed. He was determined not to let Jake get away this time. "I'm not going to let you ruin another life, Jake. I won’t let you ruin yourself either."

Jake smirked, his gaze narrowing. "And why the hell do you care? Are you in love with me or something?" He took a step closer, eyes flickering with something almost dangerous. "That’s why you keep following me around, right? You’re obsessed with me."

Sunghoon’s face twisted in anger. "Shut up, Jake! This isn’t about me!" He pushed against Jake’s chest, but the other didn’t even flinch. "You’re just afraid of the truth! You know that kid is yours, and you hate the fact that you can’t deny it!"

Jake’s smirk disappeared completely, and his hands balled into fists. "Even if it was my kid, what? What do you want me to do about it? Be a father? Act like I actually give a damn?" He took a step closer, voice dropping to a near-growl. "Because I don’t."

Sunghoon sucked in a sharp breath. "Stop lying to yourself."

Jake let out a humorless chuckle. "And what if I’m not lying? What if I don’t care? What then, Sunghoon? Are you gonna force me?" He leaned in, lowering his voice. "I hate when people like you try to act like they know me. You don’t. You never did."

His words cut like a knife, but Sunghoon refused to let them wound him. He set his jaw. "If you really didn’t care, you wouldn’t be so angry," he shot back.

Jake’s lips parted slightly, as if he wanted to say something, but he just clicked his tongue and turned around, walking away.

Sunghoon stayed where he was, fists trembling at his sides, his heart aching in a way he didn’t understand.

Maybe... it was really over.

Sunghoon clench his fist angrily, he can't let an innocent girl life ruined and he will do anything to bring the truth out.

"Sim jaeyun I will show the proof that you are  manwhore! And ruin many people life" sunghoon said angrily.

From other side.

A red eyes person watching the scene with evil smirk.

"Well well the drama looks so interesting, now let's see what the climax would be" heeseung said and chuckled.
