Sunghoon stood frozen against the cold tiles, his soaked uniform clinging to his skin. His breath was heavy, his mind racing. He wiped his mouth aggressively, glaring at Jake.
"What the fuck was that?!" he hissed, shoving Jake away.
Jake scoffed, stepping back with a look of pure disgust. He wiped his own mouth as if he wanted to erase the contact. "Tch. Don't flatter yourself. That was just to shut you up." His voice was sharp, his usual smirk replaced with irritation.
Sunghoon clenched his fists. "You think kissing me is gonna make me drop this?! I asked you a question-why do you have my photo?"
Jake let out a bitter laugh. "That's not your photo, dumbass," he sneered, his tone dripping with mockery. "And even if it was, what makes you think I'd tell you?"
Sunghoon's eyes narrowed. "Then who-"
Before he could finish, the locker room door creaked open.
"Heeseung hyung, are you still here?" Niki's voice echoed.
Jake's jaw tightened. Without thinking, he grabbed Sunghoon's wrist and yanked him closer, backing them both further into the shower. With a swift motion, he turned on the water again, masking their presence.
Sunghoon stiffened, ready to protest, but Jake shot him a glare that made him stay silent.
Outside, Heeseung sighed loudly. "Tch. Smells like wet dog and bad decisions in here."
Sunghoon held his breath, his body tense.
Niki snickered. "Hyung, you always say that about the locker room."
"Yeah, but today it's worse," Heeseung muttered. There was a pause. Then, with a scoff, he added, "Whatever. Let's go."
The door creaked again, and footsteps faded.
Jake waited a few seconds before turning off the shower and letting go of Sunghoon. "Next time, mind your own business," he spat before shoving past him, leaving without another glance.
Sunghoon stayed behind, fists clenched, heart pounding. He still had no answers-only more questions.
Sunghoon stood frozen in the empty shower, water dripping from his soaked uniform. His heart pounded in his chest, his fists trembling at his sides.
Jake had kissed him.
Jake had kissed him just to shut him up.
And worst of all-Jake had a picture of someone who looked exactly like him, but it wasn't him.
The frustration bubbled inside him. His mind kept replaying Jake's cold expression, the way he spoke with pure disgust. Sunghoon had seen Jake annoyed before, but this was different. This wasn't just irritation. This was hatred.
Why?
What the hell was he hiding?
Sunghoon exhaled sharply, running a hand through his wet hair before finally forcing himself to move. His entire body felt heavy as he walked out of the shower area and grabbed his spare clothes from his locker. He needed answers.
And he was going to get them.
Later that day - After school
Jake walked out of the school gates alone, his hands shoved into his pockets. His usual cocky smirk was nowhere to be seen. Instead, his jaw was clenched, and his mind was swirling with thoughts.
Sunghoon had gotten too close. Too curious.
And Jake hated that.
He couldn't afford to let Sunghoon dig any deeper. He couldn't let him find out about Solon.
Just the thought of it made his blood boil. Sunghoon didn't even know how lucky he was-how easy his life had been compared to Solon's. It made Jake sick to his stomach every time he looked at him. The same damn face, the same damn voice-yet they were nothing alike.
He gritted his teeth. He had already made a mistake by reacting too much. Kissing Sunghoon was reckless, but it was the only way to shut him up before things got worse.
But he knew Sunghoon.
And he knew this wasn't over.
Jake sighed and pulled out the worn photograph from his wallet, staring at it for a long moment. His grip tightened, his knuckles turning white.
"Stay out of my fucking business, Sunghoon," he muttered under his breath before shoving the photo back inside and walking off.
Little did he know, Sunghoon had been watching from behind the school wall, his eyes narrowing.
He wasn't going to let this go.
Time skip:
Night- abandoned alley:
Heeseung's Pov :
The moon hung high in the sky, casting an eerie glow over the deserted alley. The air was thick with the scent of blood, metallic and overwhelming. A single figure stood in the darkness, his chest rising and falling with slow, controlled breaths.
Heeseung wiped the back of his hand across his lips, smearing the crimson liquid that still dripped from his mouth. His usually warm brown eyes now glowed an eerie, predatory red, sharp and unrelenting. The hunger had been unbearable tonight, and now, beneath him, lay a lifeless body-pale, drained, and utterly still.
The man's neck was marred with deep puncture wounds, blood still seeping from the gaping holes where Heeseung had sunk his fangs. The victim's glassy eyes stared at nothing, frozen in their final moment of horror.
Heeseung exhaled, his breath coming out in a slow shudder.
This wasn't the first time. It wouldn't be the last.
His tongue flicked out, licking the last drops of warmth from his lips. The taste was intoxicating, but the thrill of the hunt was what truly made his veins burn with satisfaction. He tilted his head, cracking his neck as he took a step back, surveying his work.
The alley was silent except for the distant sound of sirens-too far away to matter.
With a final glance at the corpse, Heeseung pulled his hood up, concealing his blood-streaked face. His red eyes dimmed slightly, but the hunger still lurked beneath them, waiting.
Then, without a sound, he disappeared into the shadows.
End pov:
