The cold wind blew through the broken windows of the mansion, whispering through the cracked walls like a warning no one could hear.
Sunghoon blinked in confusion as he glanced at his wrist.
His watch his favorite one had slipped from his hand and rolled across the dust-covered floor, disappearing behind a fallen curtain.
"Wait..." he muttered, stepping away from the group to retrieve it.
He crouched down, reaching under the old table when a sudden creak echoed above him.
By the time he stood again, brushing dirt from his knees, the hall was empty.
"Guys?" he called out softly.
No response.
He moved toward the front, only to hear a loud clang from behind him the sound of a heavy lock falling into place.
The front door slammed shut. A metallic click echoed across the house like a gunshot.
From the other side of the rotting window, Heeseung stood in silence, watching the door with unreadable eyes. His lips curled into a slow, dangerous smirk.
The prey is alone now.
Inside, Sunghoon rushed to the door and banged his fists against it.
"Hello? Someone? I'm still in here!"
Nothing.
Just the sound of the wind. And faint footsteps from deep within the mansion.
His breath quickened.
"Jake? Sunoo? Anyone?"
Still nothing.
He turned to run back the way he came, but the hall was darker now. The lights that had flickered dimly earlier were dead. The air felt heavier. The house was no longer just abandoned it was alive, watching, waiting.
Then came the voice.
A whisper in the dark.
"You shouldn't have come back here."
Sunghoon's blood ran cold.
He spun around, but there was no one. Just shadows stretching like claws across the walls.
"Who's there?!" he shouted, his voice cracking.
A sharp breath behind him Sunghoon turned, but again, no one.
And then he ran.
Down the hall, through twisted corridors, tripping over broken floorboards and crumbling rugs. His breath came in gasps, panic overtaking reason. He didn't know what he was running from only that something was there.
Watching him.
Hunting him.
Somewhere in the darkness, Heeseung moved silently not walking, but stalking like a shadow wearing human skin.
His eyes glowed faintly red, his teeth sharp beneath his lips.
He didn't speak now. He didn't need to.
This was his world.
His cage.
And Sunghoon had walked into it alone.
"HELP!" Sunghoon screamed, voice echoing through the cursed mansion. "PLEASE!"
No answer.
No footsteps.
No classmates.
Only silence.
And somewhere, just beyond his line of vision, a figure smiled in the dark.
The hunt had begun.
