The tunnel, thankfully, was a short one. We had only walked about a blocks length and the other end of the tunnel spilt, revealing bright light.
I was hoping we'd be tossed into another 'break' chamber, one place without a Sin.
Well.. I got half my wish, there wasn't a Sin, but there were Hellions; proving that they could roam anywhere, not just haunting the Bridge.
We all stood still for a moment- tired and not wanting to battle more creatures- until a Hellion's scream boomed out.
We had to moved then, it just seemed necessary. We scrambled down into the chamber as more and more Hellions erupted like bombs, their screams making the air shiver with the power of them.
"My god. When does it fucking end!" Slick snapped and ripped out a potion. He pulled his arm back and tossed the glass bottle into the air. "Get a shield up, Laveda."
She only nodded and instantly a green bubble appeared over all of us just as the glass potion bottle shattered. Once the bottle shattered it released a glowing clear dust. The dust floated around, but appeared to be harmless flakes until suddenly the flakes scattered over the Hellions that were in the chamber.
In an instant the tiny chamber was filled to the brim with loud, atrocious screams. I watched as the Hellions each shrieked in terror and the next second burst into black dust particles. The screams they made were so inhuman and mournful I cringed from them until there was nothing. Apparently Slick had stronger Magick than I expected.... Hellions were invincible...or suppose to be.
When the last scream echoed and faded I backed away from Sagiv and glanced around. The cavern was coated in black dust that clung to the ground, rocks, walls, basically anything. I expected Laveda to drop her green shield the minute the last scream was gone, but instead she held the shield while motioning to me.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Clean up the Hellions ashes. Blow them away with your Light Magick," she spit out in exertion.
I was about to ask how, but she sent me a death glare so I took a deep breath and centered myself. I formed a bright ball in my hand and then blew it up and outward, through Laveda's green shield and to the ashes. Upon reaching contact with my Light Magick the dust sizzled into a mist and floated away. When the very last spec was gone Laveda dropped the shield with a heave and collapsed, gasping, onto the ground.
I rushed to her, but she shoved me away roughly. At first I felt offended since I had just tried to help her, but it soon changed to concern when I watched her stomach clench which was followed by the sick sounds of her retching.
I reached forward immediately and pulled her hair away from her face as she finished vomiting the rest of whatever she had in her stomach. When she finished she groaned and nearly collapsed in the puddle of vomit, but I caught her and dragged her away to set her against a nearby rock.
"Are you going to be okay?" I asked, worry making my voice shake.
She nodded. "I just...used...too much...Magick. I'm not used to...it."
I winced and asked, "Anything I can get you?"
"We have to get to Lust...which hopefully is the next...one," she whispered and closed her eyes to rest.
"Slick!" I growled and turned to find him, nearly tripping over Akyra who squawked at me.
"Sorry, sorry," I muttered and continued stomping my way to find the goat man.
I couldn't seem to find him though and I turned to Sagiv.
"Did you see where he went last?"
The great Daemonic/Angel lynx growled.
