I walked through the front doors of my father's mansion, my steps unhurried.

The air smelled of filthy money and blood—two things that built this fucking world. Yet, near the main entrance, there was a noticeable shortage of staff.

Cowards. Or maybe they had been burnt down by the fire my wife had caused.

I walked inside like I owned the place—because, I did.

Or, at least I would be the reason this place ceases to exist at the very least.

This was the house my mother never set foot in.
The house of a man I call my father. Knowing very well that he wasn't my father.

The man who thought he could dictate my existence. My breath and whether I lived or died.

A man who would do anything to satisfy his hunger for power, money and women.

But at least he taught me one thing I needed to understand very early on in life.

Your legacy was not enough to stay in power.
Power wasn't inherited—it was taken.

And tonight, I would take everything.

The moment I walked inside the living room, the guards noticed me. They reacted instantly, their hands flying to their weapons, barking orders I didn't bother processing. Their eyes gave them away, wide with recognition and barely concealed fear.
