HEY GUYS, LOVES, MY OLD AND NEW READERS!!

Recently, I reread this entire book from beginning to end.

And while I still really like the overall flow of the story, rereading it made me realise there are quite a few things I wish I had done differently—or simply explored more.

The biggest one is the timeline.

The story currently feels like everything happens within a few weeks when, in reality, these events are supposed to unfold over months. I also don't think I properly showed just how long Reyansh had been stalking Athira before everything escalated—the sneaking into her room, seeing her in the shower, and all the conflicting emotions that come with the fact that he's simultaneously obsessed with her while still wanting to kill her.

And then there's Athira.

After rereading the chapters where Reyansh blackmails her using her family, I've realised that I actually want her to be meaner to him afterwards. Angrier. Less forgiving. Because knowing Athira, I don't think she would let something like that slide nearly as easily as I originally wrote it.

I've also read multiple comments about Athira and Evansh's characters, and I agree that there are parts of them I could have developed much better.

Athira is supposed to be an heiress, but there is barely any proof of work for that aspect of her character. We hear about who she is far more than we actually see it. I want her responsibilities, her influence, her upbringing and everything that comes with her position to actually exist on the page rather than simply being part of her description.

Similarly, Evansh and Aiyanna being used as blackmail material against Athira could have been handled much better. If they are important enough to be used against her, then the story needs to properly establish why they hold that kind of power over her.

The same goes for Athira's friendship with Anika and Zayan. Their friendship means a lot more than what I've actually managed to show, and I want readers to be able to feel that history and closeness rather than just be told that they're close.

Basically, rereading the book made me realise there are multiple places where I know the context because I've had these characters and their relationships living in my head—but I haven't necessarily given you enough of that context on the page.

So... I'm going to be editing the whole book.

I'm not taking down the current version, of course. Instead, I'll be going through it chapter by chapter and editing things gradually... like adding context, fixing the timeline, developing relationships, strengthening character motivations and hopefully giving certain parts of the story the depth they deserved in the first place.

The story itself isn't changing.

I'm just finally putting more of what has always existed in my head onto the page.
