Thank you all for 40k reads and my deepest apologies for not publishing yesterday. I was extremely exhausted mentally after my project review and interview assessment. I am glad that you all waited patiently. And also completed the Vote Target after I put up that previous "??" chapter.

Also I can't come up with names for the chapters it's too much mental work and a lot of spoiler. So, I'll be only numbering the chapters from now on.

Mwuahhh.

Athira's pov.
(Few Days Later)

I scrolled through the financial reports, my fingers drumming lightly against the desk as I absorbed the numbers. It had been a while since I had worked, and the detachment showed.

After being practically locked away in a mansion for over a month, staring at balance sheets felt almost foreign—irritating, even. The figures blurred for a second before sharpening again under my scrutiny.

I was already missing Reyansh.

I missed the way he held me, the way his arms wrapped around me like I belonged there. I was getting withdrawals, like some kind of addict desperate for a fix of their favorite drug.

With a sigh, I refocused on the data, forcing my mind back to the reason I had even picked up these reports in the first place. I was looking for an opening— a pandora box which could bring ruin.

The Shekhawats were slipping.

Bad investments, internal conflicts, an over-leveraged portfolio—every financial red flag was screaming at me from the reports. They were barely keeping their heads above water, drowning in their own recklessness. And yet, Rudra Shekhawat didn't seem to have a single fucking care in the world.

The man was burning through what was left of his fortune on prostitution, drugs, and sex trafficking. The audacity. Doing something like this—almost openly. Either he was an idiot relying too much on his last name, or he was backed by someone powerful enough to make him feel invincible.

Mafia filth. I hated them.

But Reyansh Sehgal was an exception.

My heart whispered the words like an undeniable truth, even as my brain scoffed at the hypocrisy.

"Tina," I called, my tone light, almost amused.

My assistant stepped in, tablet in hand. "Yes, ma'am?"

I turned the screen towards her. "Tell me you see what I see."

She adjusted his glasses, scanning the data. "They're bleeding out, ma'am. If the rumors are true and the banks are pulling their credit lines, they won't last another quarter."

I grinned. "Exactly. Now tell me, which of their properties are the crown jewels? The ones they'd rather die than let go of?"

Tina didn't hesitate, pulling up a list. "The Shekhawat Towers, their high-end commercial project in Mumbai. The Zenith Mall in Delhi. And the Trident Resort in Goa."

"Good," I mused, sipping my coffee. "Find out which of their financial partners are the weakest links. The ones who'd fold under pressure."

Tina smirked. "Already on it. Their biggest lender is Synergy Bank, but their second-largest backer, Arvind Capital, has been having liquidity issues ever since Arvind was mysteriously killed a few days before your engagement ma'am . A little nudge and the current CEO, they might reconsider their support."

I leaned back. "Perfect. Set up a meeting with Arvind Capital. Let's make them an offer. If they drop Shekhawat Group, we'll help them stabilize."

"Understood," Tina nodded, already making notes on her tablet, but I could tell she was waiting for more.
