We're now going to focus on developing your gift of clairvoyance. To do this, you'll need to sharpen your sense of sight. The following exercises and meditations are designed to help you enhance this ability and strengthen your inner vision.

Seeing a Spiritual Presence

Just like sensing, hearing, feeling, tasting, and smelling spirits, many of us have actually seen them—without even realizing it! Once you understand the subtle signs, you may start to recognize just how often you've encountered a spiritual presence.

Most people expect to see a spirit as a full, detailed apparition, much like seeing another person standing in the room. However, this is actually quite rare.

There are two main types of Clairvoyance (which means "clear seeing"—the ability to see spirits and angels).

Objective Clairvoyance

This is when someone can physically see spirits or angels with their own eyes, as clearly as they see the world around them. It's a rare ability, but for those who have it, the experience can be vivid and undeniable.

For example, one night I was fast asleep when I suddenly felt as though someone was watching me. When I opened my eyes, I saw my late father kneeling beside my bed, watching over me. I could see him just as clearly as if he were still alive.

Another time, I was sweeping the floor in my lounge when I heard footsteps in the kitchen. Thinking my husband, David, had come home, I glanced through the large smoky-glass window that separates the lounge from the kitchen. I saw a tall figure, completely shadowed in black, walk through the kitchen and into our dining room. But when I went to check, no one was there. Ten minutes later, David actually arrived home.

Years ago, I was reading in bed when I suddenly felt pressure at the end of my mattress. I looked up and saw my late friend, Roland. He appeared as real and solid as anyone else. We spoke for a while before he got up and left the room.

These are all examples of Objective Clairvoyance—when spirits are seen as clearly as living people. Because it's such a rare gift, it can't necessarily be taught or developed. However, through practice and spiritual growth, some individuals may naturally become more attuned to this ability over time.

Subjective Clairvoyance

This is the more common way people see spirits. Instead of appearing in the physical world, spirits and angels are seen in the mind's eye—through mental images, visions, or symbolic representations.

Someone with Subjective Clairvoyance might see colors, numbers, words, symbols, or even full images of people in their mind. For example, when a medium says, "I see a man standing behind you—he's tall with dark brown hair," they're not usually seeing him with their physical eyes. Instead, they're seeing a vision of him in their mind.

Similarly, a psychic might say, "I see a red rose." They're not actually seeing a floating rose in the air, but rather an image of it appearing within their mind's eye.

Unlike Objective Clairvoyance, Subjective Clairvoyance can be developed and strengthened through practice, meditation, and spiritual growth.

Below are some of the most common ways spirits and angels make their presence known to us—many of which you may have already experienced!

Signs from Angels and Spirits: How They Let Us Know They're Around

Angels and spirits have beautiful and subtle ways of letting us know they're with us. They often leave little gifts—like feathers, hearts, birds, and coins—for us to find. If you frequently come across white feathers, especially when you're feeling down or in need of reassurance, take it as a loving sign from your angels and guides. They want you to know you're not alone.
