Introduction to Tarot
Learning to read Tarot is an exciting and rewarding journey! These fascinating cards are a powerful tool for insight, clarity, and guidance. Each card holds layers of meaning, just waiting to be discovered.
When reading Tarot, it's about more than just memorizing card meanings—your intuition is your greatest guide! Think of the cards as stepping stones, gently pointing the way while your intuition fills in the details.
A single card can mean different things to different people, depending on their unique situation and the question at hand. That's why a skilled Tarot reader blends their knowledge of the cards with intuition to create meaningful, accurate readings.
To support you on this journey, I've created five helpful videos that break down the meanings of all 78 Tarot cards and how to interpret them in a reading. You can find these videos at the bottom of this page.
Exploring the Tarot
A Tarot deck consists of 78 cards, divided into three main categories:
Major Arcana
Minor Arcana
Court Cards
Major Arcana
The Major Arcana represent significant life events and transformative experiences. These powerful cards symbolize major turning points and offer deep insight into life's big-picture themes.
Minor Arcana
The Minor Arcana are structured like a deck of playing cards, with four suits:
Wands – Passion, energy, and creativity (Fire element)
Cups – Emotions, relationships, and intuition (Water element)
Swords – Intellect, communication, and challenges (Air element)
Pentacles – Material aspects, finances, and stability (Earth element)
Each suit contains numbered cards (Ace to 10), plus the Page, Knight, Queen, and King. These cards focus on everyday events, challenges, and influences that shape our lives.
Court Cards
The Court Cards represent people—either the querent, someone they know, or even someone about to enter their life! While traditional interpretations may associate these cards with certain genders or ages, modern readings often focus on personality traits instead.
