A day had passed since then, and the yacht was docked. All of them were told in no uncertain terms to get into the medic room and stay there. There were no windows and one door. No one would know they were on that yacht. They'd stopped to refuel, to gather more supplies and change their water tanks. Helena and Emily had gone on land, whilst Lorelei had stayed on the yacht, probably hiding somewhere with a knife in her hand. Mona was a little scared of her.

Diana, Theo and Mona all had their Switch's, playing a game together. Mona had been talking a little bit, a few words here and there, but mostly she still stayed silent. Not because she couldn't speak, but because she'd spent so long not speaking that it felt weird. Vivienne was reading, or pretending to. Mona had noticed she was watching Minerva carefully, and hadn't turned a page in the last four minutes. Esme didn't bother hiding her watchful eye, staring solidly at Minerva in visible concern.

The reason was obvious. Minerva had been deathly quiet since dinner the day before and somehow, Mona sensed even more pain radiating from her. Now she was slightly hunched, and constantly had an arm wrapped around her middle.

"Okay?" Mona asked her, but Minerva hadn't heard, eyes closed and jaw working hard, one hand in a tight fist beside her, keeping her upright. Putting her Switch down, she went over to her, sitting at her feet. "Minerva?"

Steel blue eyes flickered open, finding Mona's in the bright lights of the medic room. A alight sheen of sweat coated Minerva's chest and neck, beads of it on her forehead. Her body was still shaking, and Mona wondered if whatever pain medication Helena was giving her didn't actually work.

"Okay?" Mona repeated her question, and Minerva groaned quietly, looking elsewhere. Vivienne came to sit beside her, carefully putting an arm around her waist and guiding her to rest on her shoulder.

"Deep breaths, chérie," she encouraged. Mona's jealousy flared hot again and she couldn't help the glare she gave Vivienne. When Vivienne noticed, all she did was raise a brow at Mona in a challenge, and Mona scurried back towards Diana and Theo, suddenly alight with nerves. Vivienne was gentle, more so than Esme or Minerva, but something about her unsettled Mona, something that made her not want to disappoint her.

"Whatchu do that for?" Diana was frowning, "glaring at Viv, I mean?"

"Never mind," Mona muttered, staring at the floor. So what if Minerva took more comfort with Vivienne than she did her? It was up to her what she did, even if it confused Mona. More was coming back to her, and she'd been slowly sorting through it all and putting it in the right order. She remembered Freya and being in a bad relationship, also her parents and siblings. She remembered the dogs she had, but when she had mentioned them to Esme to clarify, Esme told her that Maya had died, which was rather sad. There was something about a van, but that was fuzzy and hurt to think about, so Mona didn't, knowing that bit wasn't quite ready yet.

Diana and Theo had helped her to work out the timeline of events without giving her too much detail. Helena had told them to let her remember slowly, but Diana had been insistent that Helena retrieve certain pieces of music for Mona. With that, Mona had asked Helena to get some flowers, because she'd wanted to give them to Minerva as she was always so sad. What she'd really wanted was to dive down into the ocean where they'd moored the night before, because there had been a really pretty shell she thought Minerva would like, but she'd been told she wasn't allowed.

Not only was it much further down than it looked, but Mona's ribs were still broken, even if she ignored them most days, so she wouldn't be able to swim properly to get anything from the ocean.

"We're good," Helena said as she came back in, but trailed off when she saw Minerva's paleness and trembling body, "you're a damn idiot."

"Rather than insulting her, how about you give her something to help?" Lorelei said as she came down with an armful of medical products. "I can't believe you made me carry all this shit."
