A Twist of Fable

It was easy to believe all of your exaggerated stories,

thought I could trust you will all of these cursed worries;

Leave me pining: barely standing,

only empty tears in hands I'm left to be holding;

Playing me well to perfection,

got my mind.... this body pouring in obsession;

It's going to kill me when you flip the switch,

chant a deal with an undisclosed witch;

So many ways a heart can bleed, before nothing can penetrate,

shared amongst demons and angels,

head filled with twisted fables –

Which side is victorious depends on who you create;

Hush – now: essential for me to concentrate,

I must not be filled with hate....

in search of myself,

before I'm replacedwith a being from somewhere else.
