It had been a rather long flight. Tails and his amazing piloting skills was managing just fine even with the injury on his head. Y/N, locked into the systems of the plane while also help navigating where Eggman would be...while Sonic. Sonic was smiling like always. Being positive about saving their dear friend Amy.
Kid Genius noticed something. Two things actually. They had finally catched up where Eggman was, and the icing on the cake. They had found Knuckles. Ordering Tails to go down so they could pick up the red echidna. Sonic smirking once they landed down next to him.
"Yo, Knuckles! Going my way?" Sonic said to his ally. Earning a smile back from him. Y/N waves from above to him. Giving him a salute and going back to focusing on the plane. "Told her I'd keep her safe." "More like she kept you safe." "Watch it grape breath."
On Eggmans ship. He laughs menacingly in victory. "Ho! Ho ho ho ho! Things are really hopping now that I found my little froggy~" The old evil genius said with pride. Soon his cheerful expression change drastically once one of his robotic assistance warned about Sonic and his friends is presents. That turned into a sour note really quick. "WHAT?!" Looking through the monitors he had noticed the X Tornado just inches from near their ship. Knuckles on one wing and Sonic on the other. Tails steering the controls while noticing his daughter was hooked up to the plane. How dare his evil Genius work be used to help that prickly Hedgehog.
"Well, don't just sit there! Blow that tiresome Tornado to Timbuktu!" Yelled the doctor. "B-But Sir! Would we risk harming your daughter!?" Becoe shouts in worry. "She will be fine!...those three won't! Fire!" Soon after his commands. The weapon's on Eggmans ship start to fire. Aiming directly at them.
Tails gripping tightly on the controls. His teeth clenching hard and sweat dripping down the side of his face. He was struggling but handling it well. Kid Genius notice this. "Guys, hand on tight!" She screams out at the red and blue duo. As not a moment to soon they start going into over drive. The yellow Fox impressively dodging every single blast that was headed their way. The little guy was having a hard time trying to steer due to his strength. But he had determination. He wasn't going to fail his friends. He couldn't let them down. Successfully they had gotten in front of Eggman's ship. To which the doctor was the most unpleased.
"All right, let's show our foxy friend some fireworks!" He orders his robotic assistance. Tired of the group shenanigans already and wanting them to just accept defeat. Anger coursing through his body since he can never conquer victory. If only he knew that the bad guys never win in this scenario.
Back in the X Tornado. Tails shouts at Sonic asking if he was okay. "Yeah! I'm fine- hey guys! Check it out!" Sonic warns everyone. Y/N noticed what Eggman's ship was doing. The front part began to open up and revealed a large opening... Getting deja Vu she immediately started to slightly worry. Last time we had encounter with this cannon Tails was nearly injured badly and she suffered a lot digitally... But she was confident in Tails.
