Nayanatara's POV

The grand hall of our palace was lit with a hundred shimmering chandeliers, casting golden light on the elegantly dressed guests swirling around. Laughter and music filled the air, a symphony of joy that had been carefully orchestrated by my family. It was a celebration, On the occasion of reconciliation of our bonds.

It was first time in so many months that both the family was enjoying. Laughter and chattering filled the air as I glanced around. Everyone seemed to be enjoying.

The hall was divided into two parts one for men and the other for women. I was with my bhabhisa enjoying their company. My younger bhabhisa was in her last month, the physician told her that the baby could come anytime. That was why my brother was taking care of her very much. He never left her alone and was always around her.

It was already nighttime, and the party had begun in the evening. The vibrant atmosphere carried on well into the night, and I couldn’t help but smile as I watched the lively interactions around me.

"You are looking very beautiful, Nayantara."

A voice said, pulling me from my thoughts. I turned to see a royal lady smiling at me, and I smiled back, nodding my head in acknowledgment.

"Thank you," I murmured softly.

I was wearing a beautiful emerald green and red lehanga, looking beautiful, I got so many compliments tonight from so many people.

"You are glowing so much, are we getting a good news soon?"

An old royal lady said, my cheeks flushed when I got to know the meaning behind her words. Everyone laughed listening to her and looked at me, and nodded in unison.

"You are right, she is glowing. I think you are receiving a good news soon."

Another lady said to my mother. I lowered my gaze. I didn't know what to say or answer. I was feeling awkward or nervous, I didn't know.

As I glanced around, my gaze landed on my niece in Anirudh’s arms. My nephew was standing next to him, chatting animatedly, while Anirudh listened intently, answering his questions with a smile. A sense of warmth washed over me as I watched the little family moment unfold.

Tears unexpectedly welled in my eyes. I didn’t know why I was feeling so emotional from few days, but in that instant, I felt overwhelming gratitude. Finally, everything was back to how it once was. My mother and Anirudh’s mother were sitting together, enjoying each other’s company, just like old times.

It was a perfect evening, and I couldn’t help but wish that no one would cast an evil eye on our happiness.

After a while we heard the sound of instruments playing and suddenly, few lady dancers came inside and started dancing in the middle of the hall. They moved like serpents, their eyes half-closed, their hips swaying enticingly. They were wearing red revealing clothes.

The men hooted and cheered their glasses of drinks while enjoying their dance. I looked around myself and all the women were also enjoying their dance.

I couldn’t help but notice something that made my chest tighten with an unfamiliar emotion: Anirudh was watching them.

No, I told myself. He wasn’t really watching them. He was just being polite. They were performers, after all. But even as I tried to convince myself, I couldn’t ignore the way his gaze lingered a moment too long, the way his lips curled into a small, almost imperceptible smile. And the way his eyes flickered, just for a second, toward a woman with dark hair, her skin glowing beneath the lights.
