The Mob-Player War

Chapter 8

"I repeat: the humans are here now!" the Wither Skeleton repeated. It happened so fast. A lot of entities were down at the basement while the guards were defending the fortress. What I didn't know was what was going to happen to my family.

"Blazerey [Antonio]!" Papi shouted. "Go to the basement & stay there. Keep your little sister safe too!"

"But what about you?"

"As long as you're safe, I'm fine!"

[It feels so cursed writing casual dialogue for Antonio's dad.]

As Bianca & I head down to the basement, I heard a sound coming from behind me. By the time we got to the basement, I saw my friends, but I felt like someone's missing. No, it's more than one. I looked at the Skele [Chanthavong] bros to see Cole depressed & Kaleb [Caleb] comforting him.

"It's going to be okay," Kaleb [Caleb] assured him.

"No, it isn't," Cole countered. "Blaine's gone." [Older sibling in guilt but not act. Yay.]

"What happened?" I asked.

"Blaine... got captured." Kaleb [Caleb] answered for Cole. I looked at Nithaniel [Nathaniel] to see him with only Zephry.

"What happened to the other two?" I asked. [While a version of Monica did exist around this time in the form of "Zavi", she was confined to art biographies made after this chapter was written. Presumably, Zephyr had no younger sister at the time.]

"Like Blaine, they got captured," Nithaniel [Nathaniel] answered. "It's quite a young age to get captured, especially Hyden [Hayden]; he's only one."

"What about Zephry's parents?"

"They got captured too."

I scanned the basement to find Evan, just to find him uncomfortable next to me. Very closely. I could put this in my "Most Uncomfortable Things That Has Happened to Me" list. Where's Rose when you need her?

[Warning: I was into Hetalia at this time. Racial stereotyping ahead.]

"Err..." I grunted [???] awkwardly. "Hi?"

"Herro," Evan greeted back. He had this foreign aaccent that makes every "l" sound like an "r"— almost all "l's". I'm just going to write what he means after this. [Says the non-native English speaker]

"Sooo... how's Elaine [Elias]?"

"He's doing just fine," replied Evan. "You don't see him?" I looked next to Evan to find Elias [Elias]. "It's crowded, I know." Evan emphasised on the uncomfortableness.

"But don't you have a small house?" I was very confused.

"Not a small house, but yeah," Evan clarified. "My room's small. Don't some Nether fortresses have narrow hallways? I'd understand if it's small, but that;s no excuse for bigger ones." I processed the thought through my head. I'm now starting to think that this fortress is lucky since the hallways usually aren't cramped.

"So, where's your parents?" Elaine [Elias] asked out of the blue.

"They're still up," I answered. Then, a thought suddenly hit my head. Why are they still up there? I thought. Aren't most Blazes supposed to be here? Are the rumours really true? Papi being important? A Blaze King [Wildfire]? I kept denying every thought until I couldn't think of any more. Wait, where is Bianca?

[Pre-Wildfire mum & Mutant Blaze dad. Most parents remain unnamed in this story.]

"Errr... are you okay?" Elaine [Elias] asked.

"Has anyone seen Bianca?" I asked.

"She's over here." I looked towards Naithaniel [Nathaniel] to be relieved by the fact that Bianca's safe.

"Big brother," Bianca called. "Where's Mommy & Papi?" [Unknown why their mum was referred to with English terms instead of Spanish like dad]

"They're up there," I replied. "Somewhere." That feeling of uneasiness started to fill my body.
