Prom Gone Wrong

The night of Prom had arrived and Ben was getting ready, he's had a shower, done his hair and makeup and now he was just walking around in his underwear. He was so nervous, even though Nick went with him to choose his suit he never saw it. It was a navy blue jacket with matching trousers, underneath was a plain white shirt with a sky blue tie. Ben had bought rainbow cuff links to show off that he was gay and proud and that nothing would change that. It was 6:30pm and Nick was picking him up at 8.
There was a knock at the door and when Ben's mum opened it there stood Nick in a full black suit with a white shirt and black bow tie. He had bought a bouquet of pink roses which were Ben's favourites. Ben walks down the long, windy staircase and into the passage where Nick stood in shock "You look absolutely beautiful babe." He said with a tear falling from his face. "Aww baby thank you, so do you". Ben said with a smile beaming from ear to ear.
Ben's mum took a photo of the couple, they said their goodbyes and walked out of the door where an ice white stretch Hummer was waiting for them, the driver was stood ready to open the door for them and when he did they were greeted with music and disco lights and a bottle of fake Champagne "Tonight will be amazing, I have the perfect boyfriend and I'm with him on one of the most important nights of our lives." Ben said as he turned to Nick and kissed him on the lips. They climbed into the giant car and snuggled up with each other, Nick poured them both a glass of the fake Champagne and turned up the music as the both sang along to Desire by Years & Years.

When the song had finished it was time for Ben and Nick to get out of the vehicle, they linked hands and walked inside. The room was full of sweaty and horny teenagers grinding against one another to the beat of the music. Ben went to fetch him and his boyfriend a drink and when he got back to the table the twins Stewart and Ethan were sat both sides of Nick. Ben got a text. 'Honey your car is in the school car park, your principal has your keys please go and see him as soon as you've read this text. See you soon love mum xxx.' Ben put his phone back in his pocket, "Nick, come with me to see Mr. Wilson
Please? He's got my car keys." Ben asked
They both got out of their seats and went to the principals office, "Babe, I need the loo I'll be back soon." Nick said and walked off. Ben knocked on Mr. Wilsons door, "Come in." Deep voice boomed from the other side. Ben opened the door and stepped nervously inside.
Mr. Wilson had always scared Ben, he had no idea why though maybe it was his well built physique or his deep voice Ben had no idea.
"Ah, Benjamin just the person I wanted to see, here are your car keys. When you leave here tonight drive safe and be careful." Mr. Wilson said handing Ben his keys. "Thank you sir and I will I promise" Ben squeaked nervously.
As Ben was walking back down the hall way he saw Nick and Ethan. The next thing he saw was Ethan pin Nick to the locker and move in to kiss him. "OI CUNT GET AWAY FROM MY BOYFRIEND BEFORE I CUT YOU!!" Ben screamed and ran at them, Nick managed to break free from Ethan's hold and punched him straight in the face. He turned around and stopped ben from getting any closer to the twin. "Babe stop he's not worth it, come on let's go and get pizza. I'll drive where are your keys?" Ben held out his hand which had his keys in whilst keeping eye contact with Ethan, Nick took the keys in his left and and with his right had he grabbed his boyfriends hand. As they walked away Ben stopped and turned towards Ethan and said "Come anywhere near my boyfriend again and I will kill you and that's not a threat it's a promise. Do you understand?" Ethan nodded. Ben turned back around and took Nicks hand, they both walked to the car. The drive was quiet until Nick spoke "I lied by the way, we aren't getting food. We already have food in the boot I'm taking you on our first outdoors date. We are going to the highest point of west bridge to see the meteor shower. I'm sorry baby." Ben looked at his boyfriend and just kissed him. "I love you baby, so much. I don't deserve you" Ben said and started crying. Nick pulled over and told Ben to get out of the car, he looked confused but did as he was told, Nick got out too and walked round to Ben, he looked him dead in the eyes and said "Bennie boo, you are my Prince Charming I'm the one who doesn't deserve you but I still have you, I love you millions no billions no trillions in fact there's nothing big enough to describe how much I love you." He raised his hand to Ben's cheek and caressed his thumb over his boyfriends cheekbone wiping away his falling tear. Nick then pulled his boyfriend in for a kiss as they pulled away Ben looked up and smiled "I love you too boo." They both smiled and got back into the car. They held each other's hand and kept smiling at each other for the rest of the journey.
