I always despised having to wake up to blaring alarm clocks. Terrifying, screeching noises that should not be used as a way to wake someone up. It's like waking up every morning to a heart attack. I loathe alarms, nonetheless phone calls.

My ringtone filled my ears as I twitched in my bed. All of my muscles tensed up, my feet whacking the footboard of my bed.

The ringtone repeated several times. I didn't feel like reaching over and seeing what it was about, though, as exhausted as I was.

Honestly, I was extremely comfortable in the position I was in; my arms wrapped around one of my pillows as my legs stretched deep beneath the thin sheets.

Once it finally stopped, I relaxed, letting out a deep breath as I sunk back into the mattress.

Then it began again. My eyes shot open angrily, as my hand launched out and grabbed my phone, that was vibrating my entire nightstand intensely.

I furiously looked at the caller ID to see that it was Shawn calling. At 2:00A.M.

I haggardly swiped my thumb across "slide to answer," button, turning it to speaker phone and placing it beside my face, the glowing screen lighting up my room.

I cleared my throat before speaking into the phone."Shawn, I love you, but it's two in the morning and I am so tired." I mumbled, my eyes falling languidly closed.

"Good morning," he kidded, his voice raspy and distant.

"Shawn, I'm being completely serious." I said sternly.

"Aw, I'm sorry." he replied.

It was quiet for a few moments as his breaths were the only sound filling the vacant room.

"So, why did you say you were calling me?" I asked, my voice coming out as a whisper.

He let out a long a sigh,"I missed you."

"Shawn, you were just over at my house like ten hours ago,"

"Ten hours is a long time without you, though." he whined.

I smiled as a warm feeling spread throughout my chest.

"What are you doing up this late?" I questioned, realizing that I sounded like my mom.

"I was writing songs, but then I blanked and needed inspiration. I don't know what it is about you, but you always seem to inspire me."

I positioned myself into a seated position, holding the phone to my ear as I turned it off speaker phone.

"So I'm liking Late Night Shawn," I giggled.

"Oh, I turn into a whole new person at this hour, babe." he responded.

"Nice, nice."

"I have to pee," Shawn announced.

"That's hot."

"Isn't it, though?"

I stifled my laughter with my hand.

"I'm in love with your laugh, it's literally the most adorable thing, Olivia,"

I bit down on my bottom lip, my hand grasping a small bundle of my messy bed-hair.

"You flatter me." I exhaled.

"It's my job."

"Well, now that you woke me up I won't be able to go back to sleep."

"Then come over," he offered.

"That's a great idea, except for the fact that I still can't drive, it's only been like that for as long as you've known me."

"Then I'll come over to your house."
