Sam and I got closer day by day. It's been about a week since we got together, and ever since, that guy Balthazar, was looking at me strangely. It was kind of unnerving.

There was a door in the dorm on the end beside the bathroom, we just never opened because it looked like some useless closet. It was actually a room. Balthazar's new room.

Sam and I were getting closer. We did almost everything together.

Sam drove me to work, even on the days he didn't have to work himself.

Our jobs were right next to each other, we'd be stupid not to ride together. I'm off today but Sam is working, and Balthazar is doing... Whatever Balthazar's do.

Everything was fine, I was getting better. I had finally been okay. Until one day when she called.

My phone rang.

"Sup, it's Gabe!" I answer, without checking the caller ID. Stupid idea.

"Hey baby! How's school hunny?" Shit!

"U-m-m- mom... Hi."

"Hi? That's all I get from my little boy? The one whom I love and raised?" She continues sweetly. I cringe.

"You didn't raise me though..." I whisper.

"What was that?!" She snaps.

I begin to get scared. I sit down, afraid I'll pass out or something.

"N-N-Nothing..."

"I heard s-s-something!!!" She yells at me. "You worthless little swine! I tried to love you! I tried to love your faggot ass! But you just had to go and be fat! And ugly! And stupid! And a freak! No one loves you! No one will ever love you! Your less than nothing! The biggest nothing in this world!!! You made your father leave, you and your ugly ass. He wouldn't settle with a failure for a son. And now he's gone! GONE!" This went on and on until I finally just hung up.

I grabbed a paper towel, seeing as I'm in kitchen, and I walk over to the bathroom.

Sam may have flushed all my blades, but I still need to shave.

I crush one of my razors.

Sam always checks my arms so I go for my hips.

The relief is so wonderful, I don't even realize that my phone dings a bunch.

When I'm finished I check to see if I have any missed calls , and that's when I see the texts from my mom.

I just breakdown in tears, and lay face down in the middle of the floor until finally, Sam came home from work.

"Baby!" I hear something drop and Sam run over to me. "Hey! Baby what happened?"

I only handed him my phone, got off the floor and ran to Sam's bed. Just because of the fact that his scent gives me comfort. Wow that sounded weird. That's not what I meant I swear!

"Excuse you bitch, who do you think you are?" I hear in the background, and I groan into Sam's pillow.

I look through the text messages sent to Gabe by his own MOTHER, and came so close to punching the wall.

I dial the number.

"Oh the cocksucker calls back for once eh?"

"Excuse you, bitch, who do you think you are?" I yell.
