The moment Mr. Murdock acknowledged his presence, Peter quickly clicked the voice modulator to distort his voice.

"Assistant Attorney Murdock. I apologize for-"

Peter couldn't even finish his introduction. Matthew started to laugh a little. During the laughter, Peter decided to try and take a full stock of who Matthew Murdock is.

Matthew Murdock possessed a lean, athletic build, clearly indicative that despite being blind. Mr. Murdock took care of himself. Though his eyes were obscured by black framed glasses with vibrant red lenses. His face, despite currently laughing to himself, held a quiet intensity. His jaw was strong, his features sharp, and his dark hair was usually neatly combed, though a stray strand might occasionally fall across his forehead, hinting at a hidden restlessness. He looked shockingly normal for being a rather notorious and thorough District Attorney.

"Sorry, sorry. I just uh....I know who you are. The Mission, remember? I would think Batman would tell you," Matt said as he reached up, surprisingly close to where Peter had just clicked and generally felt around his neck. He eventually found the button in the head of the emblem and changed the voice back to normal. Giving Matt a little more idea about what the suit looks like in his mind. He at least knows there's a big Spider on the chest. And the fabric feels smooth with some tougher spots beneath the fabric. Armoring, shoddy but effective, probably borrowed some gear from Batman to make it.

"I just couldn't take you seriously with that fake Batman voice. So let's start again," Murdock says as he walks back to his desk with the display.

"I apologize for coming to you at this ungodly hour, but I wanted to talk to you about Wilson Fisk," Peter asked in his normal voice.

"Wilson Fisk, works at the Silver Dollar Law Firm. Usually tries to defend mobsters, usually fails when I'm on the prosecution," Matthew explained.

"Fisk has been-"

"Missing the last few weeks because he's more than likely involved in the strange movements of the Gotham underworld," Matthew said, interrupting Spider-Man. This caused Peter to begin to really take note of Matt Murdock, to take a closer look and when he did...he saw things that he didn't before in the dark room. Mr. Murdock's knuckles were scarred and blistered, like he was beating on people. His lower face has scarred over cuts and wounds that he would recognize as bullet wounds.

"You have some interesting wounds for a lawyer, Mr. Murdock," Peter said. He sees a portion of the wall that looks....not right. Like a cabinet that's been made to blend into the wall, save for a dial in the wall with a handle beneath it. He could recognize immediately that the two items were a safe dial and a safe door handle. Skeptical, Peter tries to leap over to the dial in the wall. As he made the leap, he heard something make two rebounds and had to adjust in midair to catch a red metallic baton that had triggered his spider sense. Once he caught the baton, he tried to turn towards Mr. Murdock. Not realizing that the blind Assistant District Attorney had popped up from his seat and was swinging a haymaker into his stomach.

"What the fuck?!" Peter was caught off guard by the blind man spontaneously busting out boxing expertise and got slammed in the stomach by the punch. His durability and suit helped cushion the blow, but it still made him stagger. Completely baffled by the sheer nature of the situation, Peter decided to fight back to try and disarm the man. Trying to just dodge around the attacks and tangle up Mr. Murdock to try and toss him to the ground.

"Calm down, Mr. Murdock. I'm sorry about noticing the safe!" Peter says as he tries to ease the lawyer's melee assault. Matthew Murdock however, was very scrappy and very skilled in close combat. Lifting Peter over his head when he tried to tangle up Matt's arms and slamming him down to the floor with a powerbomb. Knocking the wind out of Peter briefly as Matt picks Peter up again by hooking his arm over his shoulder and flinging him into a suplex down onto the floor again. Peter crawled up the wall to try and catch his breath, and tried to re-assess the situation.

Holy shit, the lawyer knows how to kick ass! Okay, wasn't expecting justice to be blind and a badass. Peter thought as he tries to make a plan around this sudden new information. He took stock of the baton in his hand, remembered how it was able to be thrown and rebounded and tried to use a little bit of angular math and physics. Doing a flip off the wall to get some momentum going, Peter throws the baton. It sounded off the floor, angled in a way to where it could bounce off the wall, then the ceiling and then careening towards Murdock.

What he was not expecting was the blind lawyer to catch the baton without even turning his head to look at it. From somewhere that Peter is still trying to figure out, a matching baton appears and now Murdock is attacking Peter with a Nightwing-esque barrage of attacks from both metal batons. They were fast, they were precise. Even Peter's endurance had its limits as he got his PCL slammed by one of those batons as his leg gives out and he falls to a knee.

It was insane, Matthew Murdock was fighting like a man possessed. Suddenly feeling his head slamming against the Assistant District Attorney's own and getting supremely disoriented and suddenly getting shoved to the ground. With the dress shoe of Matt Murdock pressing against his sternum

"I don't like people going through my stuff, Spider-Man. You could just ask how I know that Fisk is involved," Murdock said. Putting the two batons together and clicking them together into a single long baton, before twisting it a little more as it extends into the proper walking stick that was seen in the news.

Spider-Man contemplated and then shoved Murdock's foot off of his chest. Before Murdock could try and club down onto Spider-Man again, Spider-Man had grabbed his ankle and his wrist. Popping up to his feet and lifting Murdock off the ground, before taking a running start and dropping Murdock onto the ground with an Angle Slam.

Don't give him a chance to react. His senses are enhanced. Spider-Man thought as he launched up from the lawyer, lifting him up into a deadlifting inverted suplex. Matthew got back into the fight, countering the Suplex with a knee to the face. Murdock and Spider-Man got into a heated round 2, fists thrown. Both of them getting into grappling and technical showdowns, with Spider-Man primarily busting out moves that are commonly seen on professional wrestling videos. Hurricanranas, spine busters, kimura locks, figure four leg locks. Murdock was getting into the technicals of other martial arts, especially muay Thai and trying to strangle out Spider-Man with a Hell's Gate headlock. Which Spider-Man would counter by trying to lift him up and slamming him down against the ground of his apartment. And then repeating the process until Matt eventually let go, finally knocking the wind out of the assistant Attorney.

Without saying another word, Spider-Man stepped out of the window and swung away. Clearly thinking that this encounter is done and over. Matthew Murdock though, he knows that this won't be the last time. He hears the noise of crime happening and despite whatever just happened to him. He gets right back up, goes over to the dial in the wall. One hand on the wall and the other working the dial, feeling each tumbler set into place. Feeling the final tumbler set in, and pulling the handle down.

The vault-like door opens and inside is a red armored suit, with an armored cowl. The aesthetic skin to that of a demonic silhouette.

"Well, looks like the city might need the devil," Matthew said, letting the metaphorical devil in. As he changed into a man without fear.

He changed into Daredevil.
