Chapter Nine

Lois and Chris waited for Stewie to come back in his room. When the doctor came out he smiled with relief that it was a success and Lois and Chris were happy to see that Stewie was going to be okay for the moment, Brian rushed over when he saw the doctors talking to Lois, Lois and Brian hugged "Oh, Brian. He's going to be okay my baby is going to be okay." Brian smiled snd cried as he held onto Lois. Stewie woke up a couple hours later. "Did the surgery go fine?" Lois "Yes honey, you'll be starting physical therapy soon." "I'm honestly excited to leave this place and see the world again" Lois smiled at her son and was excited to be happy to have a conversation with him again. "Where's dad at?" Lois couldn't tell where Peter was, she hasn't spoken or seen him in months since the accident and he didn't know Stewie woke up and had surgery for a new heart. "I'm... I'm not sure, we haven't spoken or seen each other in quite some time." Stewie sat there in wondered if Peter left them and how long he was asleep, "Ho... How long was in a coma..?" "A couple of months... We didn't know if you would wake up" Stewie looked at Brian and then back at his mother they both looked tired and worn out. He could see the damage just being in a coma has done too them. "Go home and get some sleep, you all deserve it." Lois went out and talked to the doctor and he reassured her that Stewie was going to get better by the day. Lois the grabbed Chris and Brian and left Stewie rest, they then went home and slept soundly for the first time in months. When Lois woke up she decided to make breakfast, and find out where Peter has been. She first went to Meg's room and found her sleeping, "Meg..? Are you awake?" "Huh...? What? Mom? Is Stewie okay?" "Yeah he's fine, I'm just checking up on you since we haven't talked in god knows when." "Oh, yeah I'm fine.. I need to apologize to Chris don't I?" "I think you should it would mean a lot to him" "Yeah, have you seen dad? I haven't seen him in awhile.." "No sweetie I haven't, I was going to call him after breakfast. It's waiting for you guys to come and eat after you get up and get ready" Lois proceeded to walks out, "Mom?" "Yeah honey?" "do you think Mr. Quagmire hates me?" "I'm sure you hurt him a lot, but I don't think he does, he knows he didn't do anything. But you almost ruined his life." "Yeah I know, would it be too much to go over and apologize? Or have him come over here?" "I could call him and see, but Meg what happened that night? Honesty." "Well, you see Glenn and I went to the party together. I lied and said I was going with friends. But I drank a lot and thought I was drugged and I have vivid flash backs to where I repeatedly ask him to have sex with me and him asking if I was sure. Then we had sex of course but I couldn't remember what happened but he was laying next me naked, and I left without saying a word." Lois smiled and hugged Meg, "I'll call him tonight sweetie" "Thanks mom" she then went to Chris's room, "Good morning sweetheart!" Chris was just fishing getting dressed, "Hey mom, I was smelling breakfast and it feels great to smell it again and to see you happy and awake." "I know sweetie it feels great to feel awake and energized." "Is there anything else?" "Uh yeah there is, why haven't you gone back to school?" "Uh right... Well when I called that day I was going to tell you but then everything and I didn't want to add it to your worries but don't start now, I'm fine and looking again. But mom, I flunked out of school." "Oh Chris, I'm sorry honey. What colleges are you looking into now?" Lois wasn't even upset at Chris if anything she was relieved, she hated to have him so far away and he was protecting her from damage. "I was thinking more close to home" Chris and Lois hugged. "I'm super excited to have you home baby" "Me too mom" she them left Chris's room and and went to go find Brian who was out early in the morning and found him sniffing the food. "Oh Lois, it feels wonderful having you cooking again." "I know it feels wonderful" "Where's Peter and the kids?" "The kids are up stairs getting dressed and I still don't know where Peter is." "Well let's just have a good breakfast and go hang out with Stewie." Meg and Chris come down stairs and they're happy to be near each other. "My you two look awfully happy, did you two make up?" "We sure did mom, I apologized for my awful Behavior towards him, and I couldn't be luckier to have a brother like him." "Yeah and I told her I was sorry for all the mean things I said in a fit of rage that was uncalled for, we hugged it out. And told her I would always be there for her." Brian looked at Lois and grabbed her hand under the table, "That's great you two made up, less sadness in the house. I was just telling Lois that we should enjoy this great breakfast and go hang out with Stewie" "Mom that sounds Great I haven't seen him in awhile." But honestly the night Chris caught Meg coming home that was her way of being with Stewie all alone she went there every night. "Okay well sit down and eat and then we'll clean up and go!" Lois smiled at Brian, they were still holding hands. As she left go they shared a romantic glance without the kids seeing. Brian would soon ask Lois if she was truly sad not knowing where Peter was. They ate and laughed together. As they cleaned up and got into the car and drove to the hospital. Lois didn't even think to call Peter. Brian reached over and grabbed Lois' hand and she didn't pull away. They let go as soon as they pulled into the hospital and went up to stewie's room and all their faces lit up when they all saw each other.
