Chapter Sixteen

Lois was serving breakfast with hair curlers in her hair and in her robe. Today was the day the divorce would be final. "Mom, do you need some help?" "Uh no Chris, I just need to finish getting breakfast done and go get ready." "Mom, are you sure you want this?" "Yeah honey I do, nothing will ever be the same again." "Chris maybe you should leave your mom alone, she obviously knows what she wants and Stewie should be home in a couple of days." "Look uh Brian, this is a big thing. And she needs to weigh her options, dad won't be bringing in money anymore and mom needs a job." Brian now yelling at Chris, "She won't need a job because I'm taking care of her!" Lois dropped a plate on the floor, as Meg walked in. "Wha... What do you mean?" "Kids since your mother won't tell you I will." Lois gasped, "Lois we need to tell them." Lois nodded, "Your mother and I are together." The kids looked back at Lois, "Yeah kids it's true. I'm with Brian now." They both look disgusted and shocked, "Or is this the reason you are leaving dad?" Lois looked enraged, "NO ITS NOT DAMNIT! LISTEN TO ME, I GOT WITH BRIAN AFTER I FOUND OUT YOUR FATHER CHEATED ON ME!" The kids looked ashamed of themselves for what they said, "Were sorry mom." "Good, now that you kids upset me, I have to go to court like this." They looked sad, Meg looked at Lois, "Mom, do you want us to go with you?" "No quite frankly I don't. You kids seem to think your father is so high and mighty, I don't want that ruined." Chris and Meg felt sorry for everything, "Okay, mom we'll stay here." "Good, I shouldn't be more than a few hours." Lois walked out the door and headed to the courthouse.
Meanwhile at the hotel, where Peter and Susie stayed. "Peter isn't this exciting?" Susie seems happy, she was eighteen and after their divorce she and Peter could be together, and people could know about it. Peter on the other hand was in the bathroom getting ready, and he looked and felt sad. "Uh yeah, couldn't be happier." He faked his happiness, he was already on thin ice with Susie as it was. Susie was making him breakfast and he came out all handsome, "You better hurry back stud, there's a big surprise waiting for you here." She winked at him. He smiled and giggled, "I hope it's not that long at to be honest can't stand to be in the same room as her." Susie seemed satisfied with his answer. Peter then headed to the door, and smiled and kissed Susie, "Bye Peter, hope you win." Peter smiled, and walked out. And he drove himself to the courthouse.
