Divergent High: Beatrice to Tris

Chapter 8

"Zeke c or d?" Four asks
"Dauntless!" he yells
"I dare you to dare everyone to play hide and seek!"
"I dare all you peasants to play hide and seek with me!" Zeke says standing up "and Four shall be it!"
"If you get found you come sit by the pool!" Uriah yells "go!"

With that we take off running, well not me I speed walk. I turn my head to make sure Four isn't looking, which he's not he's laying face first on the ground yelling numbers.

I walk into the garden and find some big bushes to his behind. I crouch down and watch Four count. From here I can see almost the hole yard.
"Fifty!" Four yells

I watch him run around. Chris is found first, then Lynn, Marlene, Uriah, Shauna, then Zeke, now I'm the only one left. I look around to see if I can find Four, but I don't see him. He must be up in the tree house.

Then all of a sudden there's a hand around my mouth and an arm around my waist. I try to scream but it only comes out as a muffled sound. The person turns me around so I face them to see Four. I calm down knowing it wasn't some creep.
"You face was priceless!" he laughs
"Yeah well that wasn't very nice I thought some one was trying to kidnap me!" I say smacking his arm
"Ow!" he stops laughing and rubs his arm "that wasn't very nice" he makes a pouting face with his bottom lip sticking out.
"Oh poor baby. Lets go back to the group" I tease turning around and walking back over by the pool.

But before I can go anywhere he grabs my wrist and pulls me back.
"Wait Tris" he says
"Yeah?" I ask looking into his dark blue eyes
"Would you want to go out with me?" he asks smiling
"I'd love to!" I say smiling back
"Those three words just made my day!" he says pulling me closer to him so our chests are touching.
"Well your..." i stop and count how many words he said "8! Words made my life! Wow that sounded better in my head" I laugh
"It sounded good to me" he smiles then cups my face with his hands and leans down and kisses me. I move my hands so their resting on his chest.

It turns into a more passionate kiss. After a couple of minutes everyone starts yelling our names
"Four! Tris! You guys better not be pulling a prank on us!"

We ignore all the yelling.
"There you" Chris starts but stops when she sees us "um I'll them I found you guys but your busy" she says awkwardly then rushes off. We didn't even break apart.

After a minute we break a part.
"I wanted to do that ever sense you smiled at me in the cafeteria" Four whispers closing his eyes and resting his forehead on mine. This feel so right. Me and him together. It feels like my whole body is on fire.
"I felt the same way" I smile
"I really like you" he says wrapping his arms around my waist.
"We should get back to the group. I really like you to"
"Yeah" he says and pulls back

We hold hands as we walk back over to the group. I can't stop smiling!
"What were you guys doing?" Uriah asks us
"Finding rolly Poleys" Four says sarcastically (I know that's not how you spell it but who cares?!)
"You sure you weren't kissing?"
"Wow whatever" Four laughs

"It's already 12 I should probably go" Will says
"Yeah" everyone agrees except for Four

After everyone leaves me and Four go into the living room and sit on the couch watching the new tv series- Scream. I love this show its probably one of my favorites.
