The next morning, I woke up on my own, with a terrible hangover. I checked the time. Ten. I woke up pretty late, since we all got up and around eight. I shuffled downstairs into the kitchen.

The girls looked up. “Hey Li,” greeted Alexia.

I mumbled something in response and grabbed some of the toast.

“We didn’t want to wake you since we all went to bed so late last night.”

Once again, another mumbled response. “Did you make any…?” I trailed off.

Avalon got up and poured some of the Hangover Revival Drink in a glass for me. We made it every time someone had a hangover, and it worked wonders.

My headache cleared and I felt better after a few minutes. I looked around. “Where’s Zayn?” I asked, finally noticing that someone was missing.

“He said he wanted us to meet someone and he was bringing them over, he left at around nine,” responded Louis.

We talked about last night, mostly what we could remember. My memory was hazy, and I vaguely remember playing Truth or Dare.

After eating, I went upstairs to shower and wait around for Zayn to bring whoever it was he wanted us to meet.

I was reading in the library when Liam came to call me, saying Zayn had arrived. I put the book away and hurried out into the living room eager to meet whoever it was he brought.

It was a blonde girl, who I immediately recognized as Perrie Edwards, from Little Mix.

“Oh good, Li, you’re here. Well, now I can introduce Perrie Edwards… my girlfriend!” Zayn announced. I saw Isabel’s face drop which she quickly covered up with a smile.

My eyebrows had shot up in surprise. I decided to talk to Isabel after, and went to thump Zayn on the back, like everyone else. “How long did you keep this from us mate?” asked Harry.

His face went a slight shade darker. “Three weeks,” he mumbled.

My eyes widened. “Three weeks?!” I cried. “Why didn’t you tell us before?”

“We wanted to keep it between us for sometime,” Perrie said.

“Sorry,” said Zayn. We forgave him, then the boys began talking with him excitedly.

Alexia led Perrie over to the girls and me, and we chatted with her, getting to know her. Isabel talked with her, but there didn’t seem to be any real interest in what she had to say. I hoped this wouldn’t be the cause of any fight. Perrie seemed nice enough, warm and chatty.

After we talked long enough, Zayn drove Perrie home, then returned a few minutes later. He turned to face us. “Well?”

“I like her,” I stated.

“She’s nice,” said Isabel, saying it the same way she would have if she said “She’s nasty”.

One by one, we all gave our opinions of her. Zayn looked relieved that we’d accepted her. “Although mate, there’s something funny about her, I must say,” said Liam.

I couldn’t help but agree with him.

“What do you mean?” asked Zayn, sitting on the couch.

“I can’t put my finger on it, but there’s something strange,” Liam told him.

Zayn shrugged it off. He turned to me. “Lilah, will you mind if invite her to watch your Toxic performance backstage with us?” he asked.

“Of course not,” I said. I couldn’t exactly tell him no.
