I was hit by the cold immediately I alighted from the plane. My jacket wasn't enough to keep the cold at bay. I shivered as I waited for my luggage.

"Mr. Burton! Luc Burton," I heard someone call so I turned around. I was met by a bald man in glasses. "Do I know you?" I asked him.

"No. Your foster parents asked me to take you to your new home." My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Foster parents. Since when was I an orphan.

"Foster parents?"

"Yes. You know Mr and Mrs. Mikael."

I felt my heart drop. God, they had really disowned me. The only word that left my lips was 'oh'

I followed the man out of the airport and to a red jeep. I took the passenger seat as he drove us out.

He drove through the city and to a road surrounded by trees. I don't question him cause I don't know Philadelphia. So I can't possibly say he's going the wrong way. So I close my eyes and try to get some sleep.

I jolt awake when the car comes to a stop. I look out the window to see a castle. It's huge and was of Gothic architecture. Just like hogwarts in Harry Porter. I was stunned. This is my school?

"Welcome to The Fallen Academy."

"Why is it called that?"

"it's for children from magic families that don't have powers."

That made me pause. I looked at the brochure again. They didn't even give me the right brochure. It wasn't the same place. The one in the brochure was so inviting.

"You're lucky."

"How so?"

"Not many magic families take in normal kids."

I just nodded and got out of the car. He helped me unload my luggage from the trunk. He told me to go to the office that he'll take care of my luggage. I thank him and walk into the building. Okay, here I go. Wish me luck.
