This place is huge. When I call it a castle I'm not kidding. It has all those long hallways and large doors.

The hallways were deserted. I don't even know where the office is.

"Luc, is it?"

I jumped at the sudden voice. I turn holding my chest at the fast beating of my heart.

"Sorry for scaring you," the woman said with a smile . She was dressed in a red skirt suit. I just nod since I haven't calm down yet yet.

"Follow me. "

She turned around and walked down one of the three hallways from where we stood. I walked behind her as she led us to a door written 'OFFICE'.

She walked behind a desk and sat down. I stood on the other side shifting my feet from side to side. She turned on the computer on her desk and the letters TFA appeared on the screen.

She typed some stuff before returning her attention to me. She grabbed a paper and a book from the desk and handed them to me. Just before she could speak someone entered the office and we both turned to look.

"Good morning Mr. Simons," the woman greeted. I am yet to get her name.

"Morning Sasha. Who might this be?" he asked eyeing me. He was a young man probably in his early twenties. He had short dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was dressed in a grey suit and white shirt, no tie.

"This is a new addition to our Academy. He's Luc Burton." she introduced me. I wasn't that used to my new surname yet. He offered his hand and I took it, shaking it with a small smile. I was still a little confused about where I was and what I was doing exactly. But they seemed to have been expecting me.

"It's good you're here Reese. Would you please show Mr. Burton here around," she said and Reese nodded. "Okay then. Welcome to your new home Mr. Burton." she turned back to the computer and Mr. Simons ushered me out.

After walking for a while, I couldn't take it anymore. So I asked the question that had been on my mind all that time.

"Why am I here?"

"Because you don't have magic like the rest of your family." I frowned. "Let me guess. They told you you are going to a nice college here."

"pretty much. How'd you know?"

"They did the same thing to me."
I guess I'm not alone. He led me me up a fight of stairs. We walked till the end of the hallway and stopped in front of a set of doors. He pushed them open and walked in.

The room looked like a huge living room. I looked around at the couches laid out and the large screen TV. To the far end there was a passage leading to the dining room. A large oval table surrounded by almost twenty chairs. On the other side were a set of stairs.

"It's huge, I know. There are fifteen of us. You make the sixteenth member of our dorm."

"How many are there in the whole Academy?"

"Almost four hundred."

"wow"

"I know," he chuckled. "Cmon, let me show you your room." he headed for the stairs as I followed behind. Again he walked to the end of the hallway after the stairs. He knocked on the door. The was a muffled come in and he pushed the door open.

We walked into a small living room. Two couches and a flat screen TV, a lot smaller than the one down stairs. A boy about my age was sitting on one of the couches.

He looked up as we enter with a smile on his face.

"Hey Reese. This my new roommate?" he stood up and came to stand in front of us. He offered his hand for a handshake when Reese nodded.

"Hi, I'm Lloyd Wright," he smiled shaking my hand. "I'm Luc M... Burton."

"Lloyd will show you the rest of the Academy. I have some stuff to do," Reese said. He waved goodbye and turned to leave. I remain standing awkwardly in the middle of the room.

"let me show you your room."
