I woke up to a bright white light. Hey don't get me wrong. I'm not dying. I opened my eyes to see Lloyd standing over me. My eyes widened as I stared at his hand. In his palm was an orb of white light.
I scrambled to the headboard.
"The Fuck! I thought people here don't have powers!"
"We don't. I woke up and I could do this. I'm freaking out man."
He closed his fist and the orb was gone. I let out a sigh but I don't move.
I opened my mouth to speak but my bedroom door opened to reveal Adam and Calum.
"What's going on? We heard screaming," Calum said his gaze moving from my crouched position to Lloyd.
"Guys I have powers," Lloyd explained.
"You don't have to lie if you don't want us to know," Adam grumbled clearly annoyed.
"I'm not lying... ugh, let me just show you."
He opened his palm again and the white orb appeared again. It was even larger than before. He smirked turning to his friends. They both had their mouths open in shock. He closed his fist and it disappeared.
" Wow!"
I slid out of bed and go into the bathroom. There's nothing to worry about. He just got his powers. There is no need to be freaked.
I brush my teeth and take a quick shower. I could still hear them talking from the other side of the door. I wrap a towel around my waist and another to dry my damp hair.
They stop talking immediately I enter the . I look up to see Adam gone and the two staring at me.
"Where's Adam?"
They point to the phone still not speaking.
"Yes. I can see the phone, but where's Adam. I didn't here anyone leave." I said with a frown.
"I'm not sure how to say this..." he chuckles lightly, "... but he was sucked into the phone." Calum says confusion clear on his face.
My bedroom door opens again and I sigh. How could someone have so many visitors this early in the morning. Adam walks with Reese behind him. He looked a little pale. Most probably from his little trip through the phone. Reese looked equally shocked. I imagine how one would feel when someone suddenly comes out of your phone. I could just imagine his face.
I come out of my musings to find everyone staring at me.
"What?!"
"You're the only difference in our daily routine. So us getting our powers may have to do with you coming here," Adam explains.
"But I don't," Calum says and Reese nods in support.
"Have you tried using them," he shakes his head at Lloyd's question. "try. You too Reese."
Calum looks around the room and nods his head. He closes his eyes breathing in and out. Suddenly the world around us changes. We are no longer in my room. I look around at the trees around us. I can hear the sound of birds. I turn around and my mouth drops at the waterfall. I turn to the others to see they have the same expression. Well, except from Calum. He was smiling.
"This was my favorite place back home. I really miss it. I'm glad I could see it again, even as just an illusion," he says with a sad smile.
Illusion! Well I guess he's found his powers.
