We were back in my room and everyone was quietly assessing what had just happened. None of them are supposed to have powers. That's why we are in this school.

My bedroom door busts open and I jump to the wall. Two men enter the room with guns. I press myself harder against the wall wishing I was invisible.

"Where did he go?" one of them asked pointing the gun where I am. I frowned confused. I look around the room to find everyone is exactly where they were a minute ago. Who are they talking about.

"Luc? Where are you?" Reese asked and my frown deepened. What does he mean 'where am I'. He's standing right beside me. I look at the others and they seem to be looking around searching for something. Are they looking for me?

"I'm right here," they all jumped at my voice. What the hell is going on.

"okay I get it," Reese said turning to the two men. "Put away the guns. You're scaring him." It's true I am, but what does that have to do with anything.

He turns back to me but I know he can't see me. "Luc calm down. No one's going to hurt you. Just take deep breaths."  I breathed in and out following what Reese instructed.

I close my eyes and do my best to calm myself. I open my eyes to everyone's eyes on me. I guess they can see me now. I turn red at the attention cause I'm not used to it.

"The headmistress would like to see you all now," one of the men said breaking the silence. The others nodded as I started to panic again. Reese grabbed my hand and squeezed it for assurance.

I sighed and followed the others out of the room. Reese and I followed behind with him still holding my hand. I look up at him but his gaze is focused in front. It's like he isn't even aware he's holding my hand. But I know this isn't the case cause of how he keeps squeezing it every now and then. As if to let me know he's here for me. And it calms me down. At least enough to prevent me from bolting.

I couldn't follow the amount of corners we made to get to the office. It wasn't this complex the last time I was here. Did they use some secret route or something.

We walked through the office door and the woman from before was seated behind the desk. Today she was dressed in red instead of grey.

She motioned for us to move on
to the door on her right.

The office was larger than I expected. We all took our seats and turned our gazes to the woman in a black trouser suit behind the desk. She looked at me and smiled.

"Luc, how is the Academy treating you so far?"

"Okay, I guess."

"Good. So... All of you have powers. Guess you were late bloomers." She stood up and walked in front of us.

"Arrangements will be made to go back home." My heart started pounding at that. I don't want to go back. They treated me like shit and now I have an opportunity to start my life a new. They can't make him go back. If they don't let him stay then he'll find somewhere else.

"Sorry Mistress, but can't we stay here?" Lloyd asked. I was shocked to see the others nod in agreement.

"I'm sorry kids. You have to go. You too Reese," she said noticing his scowl. I stood up trying to bolt only to be caught by one of the men. I shake my head trying to fight their hold.

"What's wrong Luc? You're foster parents are good people and I'm sure they'll be ecstatic that you're magic and not human like they thought."

I scoffed at that. "Good people. They're not even half good. I'm there youngest son and they've been treating me like trash since I was ten. And this was the last straw. They stripped me of my last name and threw me out. I am not going back. And no one is going to make me!" I shouted as I felt my body trembling in anger. The two guards had let me go. I felt as if fire was burning inside me and I was ready to explode. I took in a breath and let out a toe curling scream as I felt energy leaving me. There was a blinding white light then darkness. I didn't even feel myself hit the floor.
