I sit upon a worn leather stool on the main deck, staring at land that is not far away from us.
I have been studying the what looks to be a deserted place for about a hour or so now, watching as we get closer to the place.
And it is confusing me why I can't see movement, not even an Infected.
I stand up on the wooden deck and slowly trudge to the reclining wooden chairs that are covered in a soft red fabric, lying down so I'm looking up at the blue sky.
I end up falling asleep for quite some time and I'm awoken by the loud, ear piercing sound of a gun. I sit up and instantly place my hand on my weapon that rests at my side.
A few more shots sound before the door leading out to the deck flings open, smacking off the wall.
Sam comes running out with Alec in tow and both covering their heads.
"What is happening?" I Demand looking at the both of them as they stay low to the floor.
Alec is the first to answer; his response making me take a step back.
"We're under attack! There is people at the shoreline open firing on us!" Alec says as he reloads his pistol.
"Did we loose anyone?" I ask as I take cover of my own, gripping onto my pistol.
"Not that I'm aware of, but we started firing back" Sam says as she peeks her head up over the edge of the boat, firing bullets at the people at shore.
The shots pick up as we start to fire back, there must be allot of people on shore.
"Where is everyone else?" I ask Alec and Samantha as I make my way to them.
"They are all on the upper deck, Dave told us you were here so we came to cover you" Samantha says.
Just as I go to peek at how many people are there a bullet slices through the wall and pierces the door that Alec and Same came out of.
"I'll be back" I say as I stand and dash for the door, slamming it behind me as I descend down the flights of stairs into the bottom floor of the ship to get supply's.
When I open the door to the hall on the bottom floor a small trail of water flows to my feet, and I follow the trail to the wall.
Four bullet holes pierced through the wall, water seeping in through all four holes.
"Shit!" I say a bit louder then intended.
I run to the room where we have most of the supplies put and just as I open that door another bullet comes through the wall, this time it enters through
the wall and exits through the floor, creating two new holes, and the hole in the floor brings more water in the room then anything.
I grab a handful of machine guns and semi-machine guns, slinging them over my shoulders, stuffing a backpack full of ammo for different guns, knowing soon this room
will be filled with water and you won't be able to enter it.
I trudge to the cupboard we keep the food in, struggling to walk with all this weight I'm carrying and stuff another pack with food and water, managing to carry that also.
When I make it back to the main deck a few other people joined up, like Dave, Tom, And Kevin, And I waist no time distributing the automatic guns.
I see the panic rising within my friend's eyes as the shots rapidly continue.
"Go!" I shout to the other five people with surrounding me.
As soon as we peek our heads up one single shot in particular catches me off guard as the bullet fired from the people on shore finds a warm home in Tom's skull.
I just freeze and look as Tom's head snaps backwards and his head skins around making a loud snapping noise.
Everyone else has the same jaw dropping expression as we all look at Tom.
"We need to keep going.." I say in a whisper loud enough to hear over the gunshots.
I peek the barrel of my gun over the edge of the ship and rapid fire, the kick back making my shoulder flare in pain.
"I have an Idea" Kevin says, pressing the barrel of his gun against the wall of the shit, firing one shot, knocking a small hole in the hard plastic enough for bullets to go through.
I smile and repeat his actions, realizing what he is doing I star shooting towards the people, hearing different sounds as the bullets hit the people or different things.
Eventually after the shooting silents and my ears stop bleeding from the loud sounds, silence overtakes the air.
But faintly the sounds of Infected comes into our ears. Not just one infected. It's what sounds like thousands.
We all stand up and look over the ship as Infected start to swarm the shoreline. Tons of them.
"Oh god.. I have never seen so many" Sam says.
"None of us have." Dave says.
And within the sounds of the roaring Infected I pick out screams as I spot the Infected going in on the one spot.
A single person lying among the Infected, a few already onto of her, digging into her stomach I watch as her guts spill open.
Before I can speak the door bursts open and I snap my head towards Patrick, a survivor that is with us who looks panicked.
"What's Wrong..?" Alec asks.
Patrick looks at us all.
"The ship is going down..."
