Samantha's P.O.V

The pink sky lightens the inside of the car as the sun starts to rise over the horizon, making me squint and put the sun visor down to block out the sun, sheilding the bright ball of fire from my eyes.
We have been driving for only a few hours and I'm already feeling hopeless.. The baby will be here any day now and I have no place to give birth.
Lachlan turns his head to me, he slowly touches my knee and gives a reassuring smile, and I weakly return the smile, turning away and putting my head against the window, staring out at the cars behind us.
I don't know where were going, but we need to get there fast.

The car comes to a abrupt stop at a loading dock in ferryland, at least that's where I think we are.
Infected are littered out all over the place, only a few noticed out presence.
"Look!" My eyes bulge as I sit up straight pointing to the large boat, also known as a ferry, used to transport people around, maybe to P.E.I or Bell Island as far as I'm concerned.
"We found hope" Lachlan says with a grin, putting his window down a bit, waving for our friends to get out but be quiet.
"Be quiet" Lachlan tells me.
I grab my knife that sits in its holster and loop my fingers through the hoops. I fasten my backpack on and open my door, knocking a infected over.
I bend down as fast as a pregnant lady can go and drive my knife into the center of the rotting corpse's skull.
I look around ready to kill another infected, to my luck, none are around me.
I make my way to where all the survivors are gathered.
"We can clear this place out and move these cars into the boat, and make our way to Nova Scotia cut into New Brunswick, and into Main and from there we can get into the states, maybe the virus never affected the states, they do have heavy security, of if the infection did reach the states, we got no trouble crossing the border… we need to get to the CDC, maybe they gotta cure" Lachlan says while pointing to the places on the map.
"Sounds like a plan, let's do it" Alec says with a nod, taking his gun from his holster. Lachlan stops him; "Silent weapons, we don't wanna get surrounded, only use guns in extream measures" everyone nods, switching their guns with knives.
"Leave your bags in the car for now, it will be easier to kill" I tell the group, who listens.
I open the drivers door, throwing my bag into the passenger seat.
Lachlan places a hand on my shoulder and looks me in the eyes; "Be careful please" he pleads.
"Always am" I respond, crashing my lips to his.
I pull away and grab my bow that lies strapped on my shoulder loosely, grabbing a arrow and nocking the arrow.
"Let's do this!" Lachlan says, removing his Katana from its holster on his back.
I jog until a Infected comes into view.
I draw my arrow back and briefly aim, letting the bow string go, making the arrow swore through the air. The arrow plunges into the Infected's head.
I retrieve my arrow and fire at a new prey.
Kill after kill, the group of survivors get more skill, I watch as their face turns cold as they plunge their knife into a skull of an infected.
I hear a sharp scream and then a gunshot, making me jolt and sprint to the sound, Leah is backed up against a wall with three dead infected at her feet.
"It-it almost bit me..I had to.." She studders as she tucks her gun away and retrieves her knife from the skull of another infected.
I look around and curse under my breath, I mean... If god really exsistes.. He wouldn't of caused this shit, so why not curse away, were all sinful nowadays.
All the infected heard the shot and have spotted us, with about fifty heading twords us I make my way to the rest of the survivors who are lined up, staring in shock as more Infected pile out of the boat.
Slowly I reach my quiver of arrows on my back and wrap my fingers around one, nocking it and drawing it back.
As I go to let go of the arrow Lachlan stops me.
"To hell with the noise" and he grabs his gun, pulling the hammer back, locking the bullet in firing position, pulling the trigger. I watch as a Infected spins and falls to the ground from the impact of the bullet in the head.
Alec and the others start shooting. I put my arrow back in my quiver and put my bow around my shoulder, grabbing my gun and aiming at the first Infected my eyes lay on, and I squeeze the trigger.
My ears ring from all the shots and I start to zone out of what I'm shooting, until they are all dead, everyone lowers their guns and sighs.
A single infected walks off the boat.
I hear people winse at the infected, thats when I see that it is a little girl, no older then five.
"Oh my god" I say feeling tears build up in my eyes.
Noone steps forward to put down the infected.
So I do.
The infected gets closer to me, hissing and growling.
This isn't a little girl anymore... Its a monster. I remind myself.
I raise my gun to the gir- infected's head and look away, closing my eyes I pull the trigger. Listening as the body hits the ground like a ton of rocks.
A tear falls out of my eye and my hand falls limp against my side.
I feel burning inside my chest and a wave of realization hits me.
There is no hope.
