Screaming erupts throughout the ship as everyone ruses through the doors onto the main deck, opening up a large container that contains orange life jackets, throwing them over their heads and strapping themselves in.

Samantha pushes through a large crowd of people while trying to get to me, and when she finally emerges from the thick pool of people she latches onto my arm; "Do something!" Sam yells.

I look around frantically, no one seems to care about the large swarm of infected on the land, they only seem to care about getting off this boat.

"Everyone!" I attempt to scream over the crowd of people.

No one even looks my way.

"Guys!" I scream a tad bit louder. Still nothing.

I let out a long breath and put my fingers in my mouth, blowing letting out a long ear piercing whistle, making the voices of the people cut off, all heads turning towards me.

"Listen up! We have to get off this boat before it goes down, but when we get to the land;" I point towards the large mass of infected on shore. "We have an even bigger problem, so I say we get as much supplies as we can and hop into the life boats and get on land, but when we reach the shoreline, we will have to fight our way through the infected" I finish up what I'm saying and scam the faces of the people standing before me.

Thirty-three. That's how many of us are left. And that is how many of us will be left once we fight through.

I watch as everyone files out of the crowd to gather supplies.

I however, already have a large mountain climbing pack full of supplies and ammo, and am getting the life boats ready.

The door sings open again and this time people come out of it with packs on their back and stuff in their arms.

"We're ready" Alec says, speaking for everyone else also.

"Okay then; We have four life boats, each boat holds ten people. We have thirty-three, so the fourth boat will hold three people, me, Alec, and Sam, we will also hold any extra supplies and will take the lead, so when we reach land, we will cover you guys long enough to take the extra supplies. Understand?" I tell the people.

The deck fills with people mumbling 'yes' and head nods.

"Okay, first ten climb in" I say as I point to the medium sized life boat that is swinging over the edge of the large ship, help up by ropes and a machine that lowers the boat with a push of a button.

"When you hit the water all of you row out a bit towards the land, try and aim for a place with as little Infected as possible, and wait for us, got it?" I ask, and the people nod.

"Next ten!" I say as I press the button lowering the first ten people into the water.

"Cut it loose!" I scream over the edge.

I lower the other ten people as the following ten climb onto the third boat, lowering them also.

"Are you ready? I ask Alec and Sam as we throw the extra supplies into the swinging life boat.

"As ready as we can be" Samantha says.

I take out my pistol and check my ammo.

Twenty bullets, a full clip.

We climb into the shaky wooden life boat as I press the button, throwing the switch back onto the boat and sitting down as fast as possible so I don't fall out of the boat.
