The weird feeling has been here for a week. I brushed it off for a while, along with the cravings and puking, but I needed to tell Wes.
We had moved all of my stuff into Wesley's house, seeing as my mom had no intention of kicking my dad out. I woke up next to his warm body, him already looking at me.
"Good morning beautiful. How are you feeling?" He asked, in a caring voice.
"Morning. Still not quite right." I said, quietly.
"Tell me babe. I wanna help you." He said, wrapping his arms around me and pulling me into him.
"I don't know either Wes. Something just feels off." I said. In that moment, I felt the need to throw up, and Wes noticed and ran with me to the bathroom.
"That's it. We're taking you to the doctors." Wes insisted, once I was done in the bathroom.
"Wes, please no! I hate the doctors!" I whined.
"I don't care Charlie. You're sick and we need to figure out what's wrong." He said sternly.
"Fine." I huffed. He chuckled and went to get dressed, as did I.
We drove to the doctors office, and were soon taken in, seeing as there weren't many people in the office.
"Hello Charlotte." The doctor smiled.
"Hey." I said weakly.
"What seems to be the problem?" She asked.
"Well, I've been puking like crazy or the past week." I said.
"Okay. Anything else?" She asked again.
"Uh... Cravings a-and... Oh god." I said, becoming terrified. I looked Wes, who had the same fearful expression on his face as I did. I ran out of the office with Wesley close behind me.
"Charlie! Charlotte!" He yelled. I stopped running only once I reached the car. I leaned on the side of it and broke down into tears. I slid down the side of the car, with Wesley soon doing the same. He pulled me into a comfortable side hug, rubbing his hands up an down my back.
"What's wrong Charlie? Talk to me, please." He pleaded.
"What's wrong?! What's wrong Wes?! Don't you get it?! I'm pregnant Wesley!" I sobbed. He looked into my eyes, trying to hold back tears.
"I'm scared Wes." I cried.
"I know Charlie. So am I." He said, looking straight ahead of him.
"D-do you h-hate me?" I asked hesitantly, choking back sobs.
"What? Of course I don't hate you Charlotte! I love you more than anything, and even though we didn't plan on this baby, were going to take care of it... Together. We're going to love it, and spoil it, and be the best mommy and daddy ever." He said, now letting the tears fall freely from his eyes. I reached up to wipe them.
"Why are you crying? You don't have to stay." I asked.
"They're happy tears babe, and of course I'm staying. Not because I have to, because I want to. I'm not going to be a dead-beat dad and leave my innocent little baby." He said.
"I love you Wes. Thank you." I said, leaning into his side. He wrapped his arms around me securely, still sitting on the pavement of the parking lot, and kissed my head.
"I love you too." He said. "And I love you too baby." He added, placing chis hands on my belly, smiling.
"You're going to be a great dad Wes." I smiled at him.
"I hope so." He said. "I don't want to turn out like your dad, no offense, and hurt this little bump of ours." He said.
"Wes, you are nothing like my dad. You would never hurt our little bump." I replied, emphasizing the word "nothing."
"I hope you're right." He huffed, rubbing the back of his neck.
"I am." I assured him, smiling.
"Well, we should probably head home." He suggested, patting my leg lightly.
"Yeah, I guess." I said, sticking out my hand for him to help me up.
"Are we gonna tell them today?" He asked.
"If you want to." I sighed.
"It's up to you babe." He said, as we got into the car and began to drive back to his house.
"Let's just get this over with I guess..." I said.
"Okay." He replied, opening the front door for me and walking in behind me.
"Mom! Brent! Keats! Drew!" He called through the house. They all came to the living room.
"Well... We have something to say." Wes started.
"W-well... I uh... We're..." I stuttered.
"You're going to be grandparents." Wes blurted out. Laraine looked from me to Wes at least 20 times.
"I-is this true?" She asked. I nodded. Sh smiled, and so did Wesley and I.
WAIT! WHAT?! SHE'S SMILING?!
"I'm gonna be an uncle!" Keaton screamed.
"Me too dude! Up top!" Drew yelled, high-fiving Keaton. I giggled and Wes whispered in my ear.
"See? They're happy babe. Nothing to worry about." I smiled and pecked his lips.
"Congratulations you two." Brent said.
"Thank you." Wes and I said in unison. We called Breezie and invited her over for a BBQ to celebrate.
After eating a ton of food, and a ton of hands touching my stomach, Wes and I decided to call it a night, since we had had a long day.
"Goodnight Wes, I love you." I smiled, kissing the dimple in his right cheek.
"Goodnight Charlie." He said, and kissed my lips sweetly. "And goodnight my baby." He said, kissing my belly also. And there I lay, falling asleep, in the arms of the greatest guy ever, and with my small bump, to be born in only a mere 9 months. This, is my family.
