Keaton's POV:

If you've never felt anything towards somebody you can't have, having to watch them be happy with another, you have no idea how it feels to be me today. Charlotte is perfect. Why does Wes always get the girl? Why can't there just be one time when I, Keaton Stromberg, get the girl before Wes or Drew does? Why?!

She was wearing a pink bikini; that's her favorite color. I learned that while we were on the swings, sharing small things about ourselves. They may hve seemed meaningless to others, but i was hanging off of every word she spoke. She looked amazing. I also learned that she thinks she's fat, but she's anything but. She's not a twig, she has just enough curves in just te right places. Let's face it: she's perfect in every way, shape, and form.

Watching Charlie and Wes saunter over to the cold ocean, her shivering as it caressed her toes, and him wrapping his arms around her to contain her body heat, was the second hardest things I've ever had to do. The first, not running to Charlie and kissing her right then and there.

"What's wrong dude?" Drew asked me, tapping my shoulder. Drew, Cameron, and I were collecting sticks for a beach bonfire, while Wes was with the girl of my dreams.

"Nothing." I muttered.

"Whatever." Drew sighed.

Once we had collected enough sticks to keep the fire going for a few hours, we called the two love-birds out of the water. Wes sat on the blanket, with Charlotte in between his legs. She shivered, and it took all the strength I had in me not to go to her and wrap my arms around her, keeping her warm. Of course, Wes was there to protect her from the cold. He got her his sweatshirt and wrapped his arms around her once again.

After the bonfire, we all went inside to go to sleep. Drew and Cam got the couches, while Wes Charlie and I got the floor.

I know Wes will take care of Charlie, an I know he will love her more than life itself. I mean, how could you not. She's just so perfect. I can't be thinking like this. She's Wesley's girl, not mine. That's breaks my heart to say, but I have to get it through my thick skull that she'll never be mine, that she'll never love me like I love her.

As my eyes were beginning to flutter closed, I heard Charlotte speak. All I could make out if the whispers were the words "I love you." That's when it finally set in.

"I love you too Charlie." I mouthed, not letting any sound escape my lips.
