Trey
Gotta take bae out on a date. Caleb left this morning so Gee and I have the house to ourselves. Gee is at her desk, looking over her patient's papers. She's been doing this all day and it's so boring. I walk into her office and sit on her desk."Get dressed. I'm taking you out." I order her.
She smiles and says,"Okay. Where?"
"It's a surprise." I tell her.
She jumps out of her seat and runs to our bedroom. It seems as if she was waiting for this.
"Wear something comfortable! Nothing fancy!" I yell.
"Alright!"
After all the crap we've been through these past couple of years, we deserve this. She comes back downstairs wearing jeans, a v-neck, and flip flops. He body is still popping after these years.
"Is this alright?" She asks.
"Yes, sexy. Let's go."
I grab her hand and walk out into the warm summer night with my woman. Finally reaching my Bugatti, I open the passenger door so that she can get in.
"Remember that pizza spot we used to go to in Brooklyn? Andy's Pizza?" I ask her as I start the engine.
"Yeah. That pizza was greasy but blazin'." She responds.
"Yeah. Let's go there for old times sake. We made a lot of memories there."
"Okay. I don't care where we go." She says.
We hold hands as I drive to the spot. She then brings up the only things that seems to make her super excited nowadays. The adoption. It's been moving swiftly only because I've been able to pay for the services. We chose a baby boy from Haiti and a baby girl from Japan. The boy is still in the mother's womb at 7 months and the girl, Yasmine, is 18 months. The boy hasn't been named yet.
We couldn't choose between the two so we agreed to adopt both. We immediately fell in love with them. The only thing really holding us back now is the adoption agency. Plus, our son hasn't been born yet. With that being said, we're making sure that the biological mother is eating right and is taking prenatal vitamins.
"I think we should paint baby girl's room gray and periwinkle. I don't know about baby boy's room. Is that too gloomy?" She asks.
"Gray and periwinkle are cool. There's time for the other room." I respond as I switch lanes.
"And mahogany furniture."
This woman loves mahogany.
"Yes, baby. Of course."
Forty-five minutes later, we pull up to the pizza spot in Brooklyn. Memories of Genevieve and I chilling and fooling around in here flash into my mind. Gee and I have been married for three years, but we almost went thorough that phase where couples get boring. I said almost.
Inside, I order some boneless hot wings and a large broccoli, olive, and bacon pizza as Gee goes to find us a table. When I finish ordering, I turn around to find some guy leaning on the table Gee picked out for us. He's leaning a little too close to her as she giggles and he smiles.
I walk over and interrupt by coughing and pulling out my chair loudly. Genevieve gives me a look cause she knows why I'm doing this. The dude glances at me and smiles.
"You must be Tremaine. Genevieve has told me all about you. I'm Richard, a friend from the hospital she used to work at." He says while extending his hand to me.
I take his hand and shake it firmly. I guess he's okay.
"Nice to meet you, Richard." I say.
"So you're the Trey Songz? Wow."
Here we go again. He stares at me in wonder and admiration. Is he checking me out?
"Yeah. In the flesh."
Realizing he's been staring, he clears his throat and turns to Genevieve.
"Well, I'll let you two lovebirds continue you're date. Don't forget to call me, Gee. We have a lot to catch up on."
"Of course, Ricky," she says while standing up,"It's been so good seeing you again."
"You too." He says while hugging her.
He turns to me and says,"Bye."
Once he's out the door, I give Gee a weird look. She looks back at me and shrugs.
"Who was that guy?" I ask her.
"I bet you have women friends that I don't know about." She replies ignoring my question.
"Not really, Gee. You know all of my friends."
She sighs and looks me straight in the eye.
"We haven't seen or talked to each other in years. We were friends when I worked in Manhattan. Plus, he's gay so you can calm your tits."
I smirk and laugh a little.
"What?" She asks.
"I think he was checking me out." I admit.
She smiles and says,"Who can help it? You fine, baby."
I crack a smile and lean over the table to kiss her lips.

Beach-GenevieveAfter dinner at Andy's, Trey drives us down to the beach. It's dark so Trey has to bring his flashlight with him. Trey and I used to come out here to chill a couple years back.
"Hold up." Trey says before we walk out onto the beach.
He opens the trunk of his car and grabs a blanket. He winks at me as he walks towards me with the blanket.
"I was thinking maybe we can stargaze a little and hang out for a little." He says.
My heart melts. Trey is the sweetest thing sometimes.
"Okay." I respond like a little girl.
He takes my hand and intertwines his fingers into mine. Sweet Jesus. As we begin to walk on the beach, I feel a large warm surge of liquid leave my body down there. I stop dead in my tracks, and Trey looks at me confused. Is this my period or...
"What's wrong?" He asks with much concern.
I look down and he flashes the light on my crotch and legs. My jeans are drenched with blood from my crotch down. My legs let lose as I fall to the ground in weakness.
"Shxt!" Trey yells.
Trey catches me, picks me up, and run back to his car. He lays me out on the backseat. My vision gets blurry and the blood continues to trickle out of me.
"Stay with me, baby. Stay with me." Trey encourages me before closing the door and running to the driver's seat.
I clock out just as he manages to start the engine.
