Trey
I glance back to the backseat from time to time to check on my wife. She's already unconscious, and she's not responding to my calls. I keep calm because if I don't, I'll crash the car and I'll get hurt too. My seats are leather so the blood shouldn't stain them.(Thank God).

Thankfully the hospital is like 10 minutes away. I park the car in the parking lot and run to the back seat to get Genevieve out. I pick her up bridal style and run into the hospital. I know my shirt is already stained. How crazy does it look to see a man carrying a bloody unconscious woman inside a hospital?

"Somebody help!" I yell.

A nurse comes out looking at first annoyed then alarmed when she sees us.

"Bring a bed! I'm gonna need some help out here!" She calls while rushing over to us.

I guess she realizes my panic because she tells me to stay calm.

"Are you her husband?" She asks.

I nod and look down at my wife's unconscious face. The nurse touches her neck.

"She still has a pulse, but it's slow."

Immediately, two more nurses come out rolling a bed. I carefully place Genevieve on it and they shoot of led down towards Emergency. I try my best to keep up, but once we were in front of the emergency room's double doors, they told me I couldn't enter.

"You may wait in the waiting room. A nurse or doctor will be out periodically to tell you what's going on."

"Okay. Thank you."

Then they wheel her away. I slowly walk into the mostly empty waiting room and plop down on a chair, exhausted and anxious.

Genevieve
I creak open my eyes, but the bright lights of the room causes me to shut them again. I take a little time to try to remember everything. My name, occupation, marital status, age, date of birth, etc. Those come pretty easy.

I suddenly feel the warm touch of someone's hand in mine. My mind wants to jump but my body doesn't respond.

"Genevieve, it's Trey.....I'm really gonna have to ask you to wake up because this is driving me crazy. There are people out here who are counting on you...I'm counting on you." Trey says softly.

He squeezes my hand a little and I squeeze a little back. I force my eyes open again once more to look at my surroundings. White walls, TV, window, then Trey.

"Hey." He says with a big goofy smile.

I smile and reply softly,"Hey."

"I'll get a nurse." He says before getting up.

A couple seconds later, Trey returns with a female nurse who checks up on me. Nothing weird.

"Do you want me to break the news to her or do you want to?" The nurse asks Trey.

"I'll do it."

What news? Jeez, is it cancer, Jesus? Trey turns to me with a smile.

"We're pregnant, again."

Homygosh. Not again.

"What?! How? I can't be!" I exclaim in denial.

"Okay. Relax, Mrs. Neverson. I know this is shocking to you but you can't stress yourself out in your condition."

"But how?" I ask again. This time more calmly.

"We had sex." Trey answers sarcastically.

I want to punch him. I roll my eyes.

The nurse explains,"The reason why you began to bleed so much is because the radiation from your MRI treatments almost caused you to have another miscarriage. The doctors were able to save you and the baby."

I nod my head.

"How far along am I?"

"6 weeks. Still early, but you're going to have to be very careful until your second trimester. Bed rest for a couple of weeks."

Trey squeezes my hand. I touch my still flat stomach. The nurse leaves the room to give us some privacy.

"What now?" I ask.

"We have this baby." He states plainly.

"What about the other two?" I ask.

"We keep going with the process, if that's okay with you, I still love those kids."

"Me too. I don't want to give them up." I say.

Three kids all under the age of three?! Oh Lord. Trey kisses my forehead.

"Get some rest, baby." He tells me.

He doesn't have to tell me twice. My eyes get heavier and soon I'm out.
