When Sect Leader Wen received a letter from Baoshan that addressed more of Wei Wuxian's situation, he remembered the sentence he gave Madam Yu. Now that more information has been gathered, with proof and permission to use empathy to see for himself, he can accurately judge the situation. However, this was a matter that he didn't know about being behind closed doors or not. He would prefer it to be, mostly because he didn't want Wei Wuxian's secrets exposed so openly to everyone.

Sect Leader Wen, Hmpht, and tossed the letter aside, "Wen Zhuliu, call for my two sons I have a mission for them."

"Yes, Sir," Wen Zhuliu said.

Wen Xu and Wen Chao strolled in a few minutes later. The elder of the two, Wen Xu was more composed and had a better temperament than his brother Wen Chao. When his little brother wanted something, he'd be spoiled and he would get his way. If he couldn't there would be a loophole.

"I want you two to send troops over to Lotus Pier. If they resist, kill them. I already know they are allies with Sect Leader Jin. I want Sect Leader Jiang and his Wife brought in for questioning. I would prefer those two come alive, and if you have to, drag their useless children with them. After you do so, Wen Xu, I want you and your brother to make Lotus Pier a new outpost. Wen Zhuliu, I want you to go with them to help," Sect Leader Wen explained.

"We will do as you say," Wen Xu said, "but is there something we need to know?"

"Sect Leader Jiang has done some heinous acts and it is time for him and his wife to be put in their place," Sect Leader Wen said.

Wen Xu nodded and left with his brother. Troops were sent out the next day for Lotus Pier. There was an ambush and a lot of Jiang sect disciples were killed in the process. The sect leader, his wife, and their children were captured and brought back to Qishan for questioning.

Baoshan received a letter only a day or two later. Sect Leader Wen sent it stating that the trial will be held in a month. It will give Baoshan time to prepare the evidence.

Wangji and Wuxian were dressed in plain robes as they walked the streets of Yiling. They blended in fairly well, and they wanted to spend some time out together. The two wanted to go out for a meal and maybe do some shopping and sight seeing.

Wangji received a messenger butterfly telling him of the news about Sect Leader Jiang, "Wei Ying."

"What is it?" Wuxian asked.

"Lotus Pier has been ambushed by the Wens. Sect Leader Jiang and Madam Yu are being held at Qishan for a trial in one month," Wangji explained.

"What about Jiang Cheng and Shijie?" Wuxian asked worried.

"They are alright, currently under supervision by the Wens," Wangji told him.

Wuxian nodded, "my relationship with those two are complicated. Shijie has always been kind to me...Jiang Cheng..." he sighed, "I guess I just have to wait until the trial."

Wangji nodded. Through their bond, he could feel the confusion and sorrow in Wuxian's heart. Wuxian has been dealing with so much and he has yet to have a moment of peace. Wangji took his hand and led him to a nice looking restaurant and ordered a couple of nice looking dishes. He even ordered wine for Wuxian.

"You..." Wuxian was a bit surprised when the waiter brought over a pot of tea and a jar of wine.

"Wei Ying, have some wine," Wangji told him.

Wuxian smiled and poured a cup, "thanks," he said.

"Do you wish to find a new place here in Yiling? Or do you wish to look elsewhere?" Wangji asked.

"I've been thinking, though I do not do well inside Cloud Recesses, I still like Gusu. Do you want to find a place outside Caiyi?" Wuxian asked.

Wangji thought it over and felt it was a good compromise. It was true, Wuxian liked Caiyi town and there was a nice atmosphere there. It was near the Lan Sect so if the two were ever needed they could stop by.

"There should be some decent places that outside the town. Let's go there and stay at an inn for a few days to see if we can find a place," Wangji agreed.

Wuxian smiled, "great," he said, "I remember that Caiyi has a nice Hunan restaurant there, and you know how much I love Emperor's Smile."

"Indeed," Wangji said.

Their meals arrived shortly. The two ate and paid. They then teleported to Caiyi and found an inn to stay in. There were plenty of places in Caiyi that the two could look at, so they had options.

After a few days, they found a place only a few miles away from town. It was even on the water so they had a nice view. The two settled in fairly quickly. They kept the two rabbits they found at their old home with Baoshan. However, now being in Gusu, they had a nice environment to grow some medicinal herbs and plants. The two started a small garden and due to this, they were able to help supply a local shop owner. Even Baoshan was able to get some herbs if she needed it.

Wangji started to notice Wuxian becoming more relaxed as they stayed. It was all he wanted. There was still the matter of the trial but for now, all he had to do was help keep Wuxian happy.

Wuxian was going to be in front of a lot of people and sharing all of his past torments. That in itself was a bit horrifying.
