Extra: The Demon King Becomes a Little Boy
"For the love of god-" Nemis stopped paying attention. The whole topic was boring, and neither did he care to actually listen. The Hero and her friends were speaking of a treasure that would surely help them in their quest to murder him. No matter what they found, it was dubious that it would do much harm to him. Still, they needed something to do while they waited and what else would fill the time but an adventure.
Their queries brought them to a small cave near the border, one that gave off the sensation it held demons rather than bears. He didn't care either way, nothing was a match for him and the Hero.
Entering the cave, he seemed to be the only one who went unaffected by the ominous and dank interior. It was the usual for hidden treasures. Everywhere he went, people found these little hideaways and hid their paltry trinkets inside.
To be honest... Things like this were utterly boring for him.
But he was being a good human and followed along as they fought against various creatures. There had been a giant millipede that had utterly and completely terrified Gaitis, who in his haste to run away had accidently knocked little Felli to the ground, upturning he skirts and showing her undergarments in the process. Neither Gaitis nor the millipede was a match for her.
They continued along, the air growing thinner and thinner the further they made it in. Their unease was growing as his was plummeting. There was truly nothing of worth to fight.
Finally, after perhaps an hour of walking they'd made it into the lair that held their goal. Its big doors- and locked- doors were an easy feat to destroy. Felli, with her Magick had destroyed them instantaneously.
"Fools!" They looked around, trying to find the origin of the squeaky voice that affronted them. "You dare come into the Demon King's lair!"
They all paused and with a disgusted face they all began to leave.
"stop!" Nemis turned to face the pitiful imposter. In front of him stood a creature a third of his size. It looked like a small child. Its light blue eyes flashing beneath the orbs that lighted the room. The only semblance it had to him was its long wavy hair, and even then it was barely similar. Instead of black, its hair was golden. "I AM THE DEMON KING." It began again, as it stomped its foot. Nemis sighed and went to reach out his hand to grip its tiny head. He was going to crush its tiny skull into a million pieces for pretending to be him."
Right as he touched it, he heard the Hero scream. "DON'T TOUCH IT NEMIS!!!"
Too late. He felt his body being torn apart and forced back together again. It wasn't painful, just confusing. He'd never felt like that before.
Oh shit...
He stood there for a moment, staring at his comrades disbelieving faces. What had happened? Why were they looking at him like that? Was he horribly disfigured?
He was about to speak when he saw the Hero crying. "Nemis," she started. "You're... you're..."
"What?!" he questioned.
"You're adorable!" said the three others at the same moment. He titled his head and growled. But instead of being a deep tenor sound, it was a squeaky and small. He looked down, having noticed for the first time that he was practically swimming in his normal clothing and that his hair was almost as long as his body. He lifted his tiny hands and stared.
No...
With as much speed as he could he rolled into a ball and tried to hide his body from their view. He did not want them to see him like a small child. It was embarrassing.
"HAHAHAHAHA" the pseudo Demon King's laugh was almost painful to his ears. "See my power! Now bow, and I shall spare you from the same fa-"
The Hero's group burst into a deep raucous laughter.
" So cute!" cried Felli. "I could just snuggle him all night long!" chortled the Hero. He blushed. "I always wanted to see what this would like!" Gaitis ended.
Nemis blushed and peeked at them through the crook of his elbow. I'll kill that damn demon.
The demon was obviously miffed at their ignoring and within a brief, fast second he'd touched them all. Nemis took in the sight happily and sat up. Gaitis looked barely older than Chris had, his dark brown hair somewhat too long on his child body. His scarred face was still the same, but it looked so much more severe than it had as an adult. He instantly went to cover it, pain in his eyes.
Nemis let out a little sigh for his male friend. He seemed truly upset.
The hero was tiny, her blonde hair almost white. Her tunic hung on her body and in the places where the once had been substance was nothing. In a blink of an eye, Gaitis went from being upset to laughing again. But instead of at the Hero, it was towards Felli.
She...She looked rather similar to how she had been, only shorter and slightly more girlish.
"You didn't change at all." And with that Gaitis burst into hysterics.
Despite being a child, she could still beat the hell out of him. Moments later, he sat down covered in bumps and bruises. Felli had not gone easy on him.
"NOW, YOU SHALL ALL BECOME MY MINIONS!" Nemis had forgotten about the puny demon and sighed as he stared at it. His face filled with utter disgust. Getting up slowly, he went to stand near the small demon. He heard gasps and saw the others staring at him as if he'd betrayed them..
"Oi, little demon. Did you really think this was going to work?" he asked. The demon tilted his head, confused.
And with a flourish Nemis had encircled his body with a buzzing red energy. He trapped the tiny demon in it with him, the little demon trembling all the while. Nemis twisted his neck, popping it as he did.
Grinning, he began to grow into his adult form, his whole body elongating in a more elegant way than it had shrunk. In his true demon form, he snickered at the feeble and pintsized instigator of trouble.
"You dare to pretend to be me, you even went as far to turn me into a child." He laughed unmercifully. "Prepare to lose your head, you little shit." It tried to escape out of the barrier and call for help, but alas it could not get out. "Ah, nice barrier, isn't it?" Nemis asked, amused. "It's seals off this part of the world and traps you in the void. They cannot see or hear us, nor can they feel us."
A wetness flooded the bottom of the barrier and Nemis cringed. The pitiful creature had peed. Sighing, he put his hand to his forehead and leaned back against the wall. "Ugh... Fine, I won't kill you."
"Really!?"
Nemis smirked. "Of course, but only if you release your spell." The little demon nodded and with a few words he heard his comrades shrieks of joy. "As promised, I'll release you..."
Instantly the floor below them gave out and while Nemis stayed perfectly afloat, the other demon began to fall, screaming and crying as he went.
"...into hell." And with a guffaw, he dropped the barrier and went to meet his friends.
"hey, does anybody smell urine?" asked the Hero, a mere minute later.
The poor demon was never seen from again.
