1:30pm
"It's time" sophie announced as she retreated to her sit right in front of the tv.
"Anytime they get out, wealthies and us fight over the remote. So this is sophie being sophie" Alexis said.
Just then, the big gate from the other side of the building opens up and about 30 teenagers just come rushing out.
"They're not much. Not everyone can be rich" Alexis pointed out. From where we were standing, a few girls pass by making mean face expressions.
"Ignore them" Sophie said joining us
"Yeah they're losers. Money is the root of all evil. At least that's what I tell myself every night when I think about how much they must be enjoying" Earl said from behind us. I turn around and I see Cole dragging him. I gave him a confused look.
"Do not be confused my Nancy Pancy, Earl over here likes a girl and he is too chicken to admit" Cole answered.
"Your Nancy Pancy??" A deep strange voice replied followed by a few laughter.
I turned around and saw Paul standing alongside another boy. Probably his friend. My face lit up and he opened his arms indicating that I should hug him. I ran ( more like fast walking) and hugged him so tight.
"I can't believe you're here too Queen." paul spoke into my ear.
"What the hell is happening" Earl said looking at me angrily.
I forgot. Commoners and wealthies don't mix. It's a stupid rule actually. I would have pointed that out but *Shrug.
"My man Earl, How are things mate" Paul said shaking Earl vigorously.
Alexis and Sophie just stood there smiling while Cole had this plain straight face. I couldn't read him."Cole, long time" Paul finally said
"No see" He replied
"Well I thank you guys for being really nice to my uh girlfriend--"
"What the hell are you talking bout. Nancy has been here just two days and she's your girl. You can't just walk in here and claim her like she's your property Paul." Earl said heatedly. He was so defensive.
"Whoa! Earl. Paul and Nancy started dating before she came here. Don't get all worked" the boy with Paul finally spoke.
"Chad, shut up" Earl blurted out. For a boy with fears, he has some nerves.
"Okay enough Earl. Let's leave these two love birds alone. C'mon girls. Chad? you coming?" Cole said already dragging Earl away.
Paul and I decided to go to the garden to talk. Well in my case, I'd listen.
"Nancy, I am so happy you are here. With me of course not that I want you to stay in a crack house."
I took out my note pad and wrote
Happy see you too paul. Here's my number : 555-756-45. We could text all day. You have a phone right?
I gave it to him and he smirked. He is cute when he does that.
"Of course, you are so smart. I could just kiss you all day." He said drawing me closer to him. I felt so safe in his arms. His face came nearer and before I knew it, our lips met. As he was kissing me, I felt butterflies and fireworks everywhere. The deeper we went, the more I liked him. I pulled away to catch some air and he looked sad. This boy had cuties all over him.
"Let's walk around. Can we?" He asked. I nodded and jumped on my feet. As we were walking, he was telling me stories about his childhood, his sister, parents, why he came here and so much more. It felt as if I'd known him for so long. As we made our third circle, I felt like I was being watched. I allowed my eyes wonder and there by the window on the third floor was Cole and Earl. When they realized I was looking, they ducked.
Boys!
"Don't worry, they'll get familiar with the fact that I'm dating you. I really love you Nancy and I'm over the moon to have you here" Paul said as he draws me in for another bliss kiss.
He is happy and so am I. I haven't felt this more joy in like forever. Though I wonder why Earl and Cole can't be supportive like the girls. What even caused this commoners and wealthies game? It was childish but please we all know teenagers are a tad childish.
Sigh.
