I stand there frozen in place afraid. Questions began to fill my mind as I thought.

What if he starts beating me again?

Should I tell him?

Will he hurt Roc?..

Will he be mad?

What what he do?

I heard noises before he approached me. My heart leaped in my chest as I looked at my father with wide eyes.

He placed a hand on the side of my cheek as the other rested on my shoulder.

"Calm down sweet heart I just want to know and you to be honest with me" he said soothingly.

Was this a joke?.. Or a trick?.. I gulped, nodding slowly. He hasn't called me sweet heart in a while..

"H-his name is Chresanto.. He's a famous rapper in a band called Mindless Behavior.. You know-" he cut me off.

"You mean child good Chresanto? The one who have you that necklace?" my father asked, I felt my chest where the necklace was, looking down as I nodded.

He chuckled.  I look up at him with an raised eyebrow. "Sit down Brianna there's something you should know and I need to tell you" my father said in a serious tone.

I say in a seat, watching him as he say in front of me. He sighed deeply, rubbing his face.

"Brianna.. Me and your mother were and are changing our lives around. Not for the best for you guys but for us too" he started off.

"We use to be in a drug gang... As you probably don't know, Daniel, Ken, and the others are also in a drug gang a very dangerous one" he says.

My mouth dropped... They were WHAAT!? He sighed. "Brianna you need to keep them boys safe and you girls. What they're trying to do.. I over heard their plan to break you guys up even if it means killing you all"

"I'm also in their gang but me and your mother are still in that same gang, the one we had you in but dropped out to raise you-"

"Wait but I thought you said you stop that stuff?.." I asked. "I know, but there is still unfinished business.. Bradley is also in the same gang we are in. He thinks I'm a traitor since he found out that I'm in the same gang with Daniel and the others but the truth is, I'm not. I'm actually just collecting intel and spying on their next move.." He says.

Everything was coming at me so fast. Like what the hell my whole family are gang members!? And Bradley.. Is this why he was acting the way he was when I was living with him?

He did say something about JJ when talking to dad.. I do remember that..

"Dad" I called. He looked at me with a questioning look. "Who is JJ? I asked you this before and Bradley just happened to bring up the name when talking to you, who is he?" I asked.

He took a deep breath. "He's your cousin, Bri. He's my blood nephew but he also seed Bradley as his own blood related. He came to see you a few times when you were little. I don't know if you remember that but. Jesus did he spoil your sassy ass back then" he chuckled.

I laughed.

"Just, I don't mind you being with Roc but.. Just be safe ok? Daniel still has problems going on with him and he needs help before he goes insane. Jen is changing his life completely around an Daniel doesn't seem to want to do the same"

"Hell Ken left the gang and came clean and everything. Owed the gang every bit of cash he had exchanged for door and everything. The gang shouldn't have nothing to do with him anymore" my dad said.

I felt happy on one sad and totally hurt, angry, and disappointed on the other side. Happy that I'm able for ice to have a normal daughter to father conversation for once.

I was able to tell him who I was with and not get hit and I also found out things I needed to know.

But I was mainly angry and everything because they kept this away from me for so long.. Especially Bradley..

He was like the best brother ever and all these secrets spill out like wtf man..?

This was all just to much drama for me.. I rubbed my temples. I was also getting a headache from this..

"What's wrong?.." My dad asked. I shake my head. "So much goes on.. Yanno?" I sighed.

My dad got up and rubbed my back. "It's ok, we'll get through it"

I look up at my father. I wanted to cry.. I don't know I guess I'm just so happy at how he's acting right now..

Ken later came jogging down stairs.  "Oh hey dad.. Hey Brianna" Ken half smiled at me.

I smiled back at him. "So what are you two troublesome ass kids gonna do today?" My dad asked.

I laughed shrugging. "I might go hang back out with Roc and the girls" I mention.

Ken frowned. "Why don't you spend time with me?" He asked jealous. "I do! Whenever you're around.. I will one day ok" I laughed. Ken pouted.

"Whatever" he mumbled sitting next to me.

My dad say on the couch flipping through channels. "Well do whatever will suit yourselves" my dad spoke.

"So what ya wanna do today Bri?" Ken asked. "How about we pay Bradley a visit, please?.." I asked.

Ken stayed quiet for a while before agreeing. "Ok let's go"
