"Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrong. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

PARLIAMENT HILL housed the Canadian capital. And it was here, under the fortified structure, where Gabriel and Alcibiades were held.

Since the two were the only ones whose identities were found, they were considered a liability and held in custody.

"Are we ever getting out of here?" Gabriel asked.

Across from his cell was Alcibiades.

"Who cares? If I die here, at least it wasn't on American soil." Alcibiades replied. By this time, he was done with running. If they wanted to get rid of him, he wouldn't fight.

"What about Lucrece and Mamillius?" Gabriel asked him. He knew he struck gold when Alcibiades' face perked up.

"They'll be better off without me."

"You sure?" Gabriel smirked. "From what I saw, it seems like they are probably waiting by the door, hoping you'll walk in to wherever they are."

"I bet Lysander is doing the same." Alcibiades retorted.

Gabriel was stunned but didn't argue. He was right. There was nothing he wanted more than to grab Lysander and kiss him. He's had dreams of walking into a courthouse and signing the marriage documents.

Would they have a feast? What kind of flowers would be in the bouquet? Who would officiate?

Gabriel stopped daydreaming when his gate was opened. An officer stood there.

"Come with me." He said.

He waved at Alcibiades and followed the guard. He was growing tired of all the stares he had been getting the past few days. Then he remembered who he was. He was Gabriel Joseph Barrington Washington.

Nothing could ever remove that title from him.

He was led into a conference room. Waiting there was a military general.

"Corporal Cypress, I've brought Mr. Barrington."

The corporal looked up from his documents. Gabriel was made to sit across from him.

Before Gabriel could speak, the corporal cleared his throat.

"Let me guess, you want to leave and reunite with your loved ones, right?" He asked.

Gabriel looked at the man's brown eyes. He tried to pick up any hints of cockiness that all military leaders had in America.

"Yes." Gabriel replied.

Corporal Cypress sighed. "Unfortunately, there are issues with your arrival. You're a danger. At any moment, American spyware can be able to track you down. And we'd be blamed for housing a criminal."

"Can't argue with that."

The doors opened. A man dressed in a fancy suit walked and apologized for entering late. Gabriel noticed how handsome the man was.

"Started without me? I'm hurt, Benny."

The corporal grunted. "Punctuality is never your forte."

He sat next to the corporal. "And that's why you love me." He giggled, his hand landing on the corporal's hand.

Gabriel cleared his throat.

"Right! Gabriel Barrington. When we first heard that you were here, I almost thought that everyone was on psychedelics again." He leaned on his arm. "You really are handsome."
