A/N: This a flashback to when Noah was in high school. About 10 years before the story takes place.

"Noah, you're being ridiculous." Eva said with her arms crossed.

Izzy giggled. "Yeah. Besides he doesn't even know you exist."

"So I'll make him know." Noah said with determination.

Eva rolled her eyes.

"I'm surprised you fell for a siren." Izzy said.

"That shouldn't be surprising." Eva commented.

"No, heh, I mean I thought Noah would fall for like a werewolf or something." Izzy explained.

"Why would I-" Noah started before looking at Eva, who raises an eyebrow. "Nevermind. Werewolves just aren't my type."

"Sirens are sketchy in my opinion." Eva said. "Do you really love him? Or is he just charming you?"

"If I was charmed, I think I would know." Noah rolled his eyes.

"You wouldn't. But we would." Eva said.

"Well, he doesn't need to charm me anyway."

As Noah said that, Justin suddenly walked by, followed by a bunch of other students.

Noah smiled and watched him as he went to his locker to put his books away.

"Noah." Izzy called but got no answer.

Eva waved a hand in front of his face, but he didn't even react.

"He's so perfect... being a siren is a complete waste. He doesn't need magic to charm me..." Noah said, completely and obviously infatuated.

Eva and izzy eyed each other.

Justin was in a hallway talking to another student while Noah was peeking out from behind the wall, listening in.

"Don't tell me you're stalking him..." Eva said in disappointment.

"I have to. She's going to take him away from me..."

"In case you've forgotten, he doesn't belong to you. He doesn't even know you." Eva reminded him.

"It's fine. I'll just kill her."

"You'll get suspended."

"Worth it..." Noah mumbled.

Suddenly the girl turns to give him a daring look.

"Shit... she heard me." Noah quickly moved away to hide behind the wall but the girl was already marching over.

"Excuse me? You're gonna what? I'd like to see you try."

Noah narrowed his eyes at her and extended his fangs.

"I'm a cyborg, you stupid bat."

"Oh."

"Yeah, good luck sucking my blood through my metal skin. Justin is mine. You hear me?"

Just as she said that, Justin walked over to see what was happening.

Noah widened his eyes.

"What's going on?" Justin asked.

"This rat thinks he can kill me to get to you."

Noah smiled nervously.

Justin burst out laughing. "You like me?"

Noah blushed and blinked in surprise. "Uh- um- i..."
