Anika pov-

I sat curled up on my window seat, one of my favorite dark romance books in hand—Twisted Love. The warm afternoon light filters through the curtains, casting golden shadows across the new library Abhimanyu built for me. My personal library.

The shelves are perfectly arranged, with sections for dark romance, thrillers, and even poetry. I still can’t believe he did all this in just one night. My heart flutters a little every time I glance around the room. He might be cold to the world, but when it comes to me... he’s something else entirely.

Just as I turn the page to a particularly intense scene, my phone buzzes. Aadhya.

I smile, already anticipating her drama, and pick it up.

“Hello, meri jaan!” I say, stretching the last word with affection.

“Tu kya kar rahi hai?” Aadhya chirps.

“Main?” I grin, unable to hold back the pride in my voice. “Main apne library mein hoon.”

“Library?” she sounds confused.

“Hmm,” I reply, twirling a strand of my hair. “Mere pati ne banayi hai. Sirf mere liye.”
([My husband built it. Just for me.])

“Ufff, tu toh sach mein rani ban gayi hai,” Aadhya says with a teasing tone.
([You’ve really become a queen.])

I laugh, a little blush creeping up my cheeks. “Bas thoda sa hi.”

We giggle together for a few seconds, and then I hear her voice change slightly, hesitant but eager.

“Actually, Anika… main tujhe kuch batana chahti hoon.”

I straighten up. “Haan bol na. Tu kabse permission lene lagi mujhse?”

There’s a pause, and then she blurts, “Main Reyansh ko date karna chahti hoon.”

I freeze.

The smile slips from my face for a moment, and I blink at the wall. Did I just hear what I think I did?

“Aadhya…” I start slowly, carefully. “Tu usse date nahi kar sakti.”

“Tu nahi samjhegi Anika,” she replies, almost emotionally. “Maine toh hamare bacho ke naam bhi soch liye hai.”
([You won’t understand, Anika. I’ve already thought of names for our kids.])

I press my lips together. I know how Aadhya is—emotional, dramatic, and completely heart-first when it comes to love. But this… this is going to break her heart.
