The next day Sheva was watching the clock waiting for school to end. After school and after her mom dropped Chris off, the two girls were going to head to the airport to pick up Sheva's father. So for the whole day at school Sheva was watching the clock and every time a minute went by, Sheva got more and more excited because she knew she was a minute closer to seeing her dad who she hadn't seen in four years.

Sheva looked at the clock once more, 3:00pm. Sheva sighed only one minute passed since Sheva last looked at the clock. Twelve more minutes until she left school and those were going to be the longest twelve minutes of her life.

Thirty minutes later, Sheva and her mother were on her way to the airport.

"Are we there yet?" Sheva asked once again. That was the fifth time she asked since they got in the car. Nadia didn't say anything but just glared at her daughter. Sheva sat back in her chair and stayed quiet.

"We are only about twenty minutes away. I will tell you when we get there." Nadia told her as she kept her eyes on the road.

"Ok." Sheva said quietly and used her phone for the rest of the ride.

The twenty minutes went by faster than Sheva thought they would and next thing she knew, she was in the parking garage of the airport.

The two girls began heading into the airport, Sheva holding her mother's hand and practically dragged her into the large building.

"Sheva can you please not pull my arm out of its socket?" Nadia asked as she squeezed her daughter's hand.

"Oh, sorry..." Sheva smiled. They got into the building and headed to where Sheva's dad would get off at.

"How are you feeling?" Nadia asked Sheva once she noticed her hand was getting a tighter and tighter grip on hers as they got closer to the gate her dad was coming from.

"I feel nervous, queasy, happy, afraid, all the things a person would be feeling my position I guess." Sheva told her mother truthfully.

"Everything is going to be fine, don't worry." Nadia told her daughter with a smile. They reached the gate and took their seats. Sheva kept moving around in her seat in a nervous habit. Nadia knew the suspense was killing her but it was going to be worth the wait. Sheva got up out of her seat and went to the window to see if the plane was about to land and sure enough she saw the blue and red plane on the runway.

"Momma its here! I saw his plane!" Sheva ran back to her mom and pulled her by the arm to the window.

"Are you sure it's the plane he's on?" Nadia asked. Sheva looked at the board and asked her mother what flight her was on.

"270." Nadia told her. Sheva looked at the board for flight 270 and saw it said 'landing' in green letters.

"Yeah, it's his! I'm so excited!" Sheva squealed as she grabbed her mother and buried her face in her shoulder then emitted another squeal. Nadia just laughed and hugged her daughter close. They let go of each other and both looked at the door that Sheva's father was going to walk through. Sheva's heart started racing when she saw the first couple of people walk out the door and hug their missed family and friends.

People started to flood in and Sheva couldn't see the door anymore.

"Momma, I can't see!" Sheva complained. "Wait until it clears up, people are leaving already." Nadia told her upset daughter. She looked around for her ex-husband and finally she saw a familiar face looking at her. He was very tall, had dark brown hair like her own, his skin was a bit lighter then Sheva's and had lots of muscle that bulged out of the dark green T-shirt he was wearing. He had some dark blue jeans and white tennis shoes to complete his outfit. He was also carrying a small carryon bag and had a back pack on his back. She smiled at him and he smiled back and then she knew that was Jared. She looked at him and gestured her head to their daughter who was still looking around for him. Then the unexpected happened. He ran towards Sheva, who was still unaware what was about to happen. He opened his arms wide and for the first time in four years he held his daughter in his arms. This caused Sheva to let out a loud squeak, then she noticed who it was one she got a good look at his face.

"Daddy!" She yelled as she hugged him as tight as she could. She closed her eyes and felt tears fall down her cheek, and could have sworn her father was shedding a few tears to because she felt something wet on her shoulder.

"I missed you so much, my baby girl! You have gotten so big!" Jared told her as he hugged her tighter. They stayed like that for a couple of moments; the he put his daughter down. Well at least tried to. Sheva held onto him like her life depended on it.

"I don't want to let go..." Sheva said quietly into his shoulder. Jared chuckled at his daughter and continued to hold onto her while Nadia took is carryon.

"How many more bags do you have?" Nadia asked him.

"Two." He simply replied. The three made their way to the baggage claim and then to the parking lot. Jared carried Sheva on his back the whole way to the car. Then Nadia helped Jared put his bags in the trunk while Sheva hopped in the back seat. The parents got in the car and drove Nadia began to drive out of the parking garage.

"So, the first thing I want to talk about is your boyfriend." Jared said out loud as he looked back at his daughter with a serious expression.

'This is going to be a fun ride...' Sheva sarcastically thought.
