JERIC’S POV
It’s been two weeks since I saw Solara again and so far everything has been going on pretty well between us. Friends palang naman kami. Hindi parin ako nagtatanong para manligaw or anything. We talked about it and we decided to take things slow even if it’s getting a little hard for me. Alam mo yung tipong abot kamay mo na pero hindi mo parin makuha? That’s how I feel every single time that we’re together. Her eyes, her lips, her smile, her laugh, and the way she talks, and that distinct scent of hers it drives me crazy! I just want her to be mine and make her stay by my side all the time. Pero kahit hindi pa pwede at least right now hindi na niya ako sinusungitan or pinapalayo sa kanya. I’ll take whatever I can get at this point. I’m willing to wait no matter how long that’s how serious I am about her. I don’t think I’ve felt something like this in a long time. Well it happened once but let’s just say it was a nightmare that I don’t want to remember anymore.
Our morning practice just ended and I immediately showered and changed into my commerce uniform. Today is Friday, that means I have a class in Philippine Constitution, which also means that I get to be with her kahit isa’t kalahating oras lang.
“Mukhang nagmamadali tayo ah,” Aljon said.
“Nagtaka ka pa syempre Friday ngayon e. Alam mo naman yan pag MWF kating-kati pumasok,” Ron added.
“Ay oo nga pala. Oi pakilala mo na sa amin si Solara tagal mo ng tinatago,” Aljon answered.
“Trip niyo nanaman ako ah. Nahihiya kasi siya sa inyo,” I said.
“Grabe sabihin mo mabait kami. Friday naman Teng tara yayain mo labas tayo pasamahin mo yung friends niya para hindi siya maging uncomfortable,” Clark suggested.
“We’ll see. I’ll ask her again later but don’t get your hopes up,” I replied.
“Oh ayan na si cap nagmama-English na! Nosebleed nanaman tayo nyan e,” Ron joked then we all laughed.
“Sige una na ko. Kita nalang tayo mamaya sa afternoon practice.”
I still got a lot of time before the class starts but I ran as fast as I can because I cannot wait to see my goddess. Just the thought of being seated near her excites me and puts a smile on my face. When I arrived wala pa sila, actually konti palang kami sa loob. My other classmates greeted me and I greeted them back. Umupo na ko sa pwesto ko and waited for them, lagi kasi silang tatlo sabay pumasok. After 10 minutes I saw her come in and her eyes zeroed in on me then she smiled. It’s like getting hit by a canon ball, hanggang ngayon ang lakas parin ng impact niya sa akin kahit wala naman siya talagang ginagawa. Her mere existence is enough to blow me away. It’s also nice to know that unconsciously or not, she will always look for me first as soon as she enters this room. Somehow that makes me feel assured that I’m doing something right and that she’s now slowly warming up herself to me. She still tends to hold back when she thinks that we’re getting too close but every improvement is a welcome change.
“You just came from your morning practice? Aga mo ata,” she asked then sat down beside me.
