[ 20 ] TORNADO

TOSHA

The sound of the balcony door swinging open caught my attention as I awoke from my slumber. My eyes adjusted to the sunlight as it came through the curtains. A yawn escaped my mouth as I blinked multiple times to view my surroundings.

It appeared that I was in my bedroom but something felt off, something felt different. As I pulled my body up to sit up, I could see that I was pregnant but my body felt light, as if I was somehow sleeping on a floating pillow.

Where am I? I thought to myself as the words didn't make my mouth move but seemed to flow through my consciousness with ease.

The curtains near my balcony moved like an ocean bed and in walked in who I thought would be my husband, Matteo. Nevertheless, I was stunned to see that it was not my husband at all.

It was Sergio.

Sergio walked into my bedroom with only boxers hanging low on his hips. His chest was bare and appeared more muscular than I'd imagined. His tanned skinned seemed to be glistening under the glow of the ambience behind him.

He had bed hair and a curious twinkle in his eye.

I wasn't quite sure what was going on or why he was here but it didn't seem as if this was the wrong spot for him to be in my mind. My body remained put on this floating bed while my eyes almost burst out of my head.

Instead of my body freaking out to see him almost in the nude, it seemed as if there was a strong attraction between us and our minds were in a trance with one another. In this moment, in whatever realm I was in, it almost seemed as if Sergio and I were romantically together?

"How'd you sleep, baby?" I could hear his voice but my eyes couldn't see if his lips were truly moving.

I didn't respond back, instead my eyes darted down to my belly, wishing to ensure that I was still indeed pregnant with my son.

In a flash, it seemed as if what I previously saw had changed and instead of Sergio speaking to me from the balcony doors, his body teleported to the bed and now he was under the crisp white duvet with me, his hand resting on my belly.

He was dangerously close, but it felt as if that was his rightful place.

"How'd our son sleep?" The question seemed to make me freeze.

Our son?

What was going on?
