you just want to see me-''

They were brothers, through and through. He wasn't going to leave him to die no matter what.

N turns to the door and sees C on the floor, a spike is planted in his neck.

"Don't come near me." C painfully screamed.

N didn't listen, he sat him up in his arms.

"You always turn out to be right in the end." C joked before coughing in a panic induced fit.

"I won't let another person die!"

A loud click of a heel was heard.

"Despite being the older brother by 2 picoseconds, you really still are just some stupid boy." J said. N looked up to see J, unarmed, for now. The erratic tempo at which her feet moved and the violent sway of her body accentuated the flow of her ratty hair.

"What are you talking about?" N said, now standing. J fell down on all fours, saliva dribbles from her mouth.

"I'm asking if you know why you are here. The ULU is closing in on us, your platoons are probably too far to come save you now, and you're letting some other company I don't know walk all over you. So, why?"

"I... don't know."

"I think you know the answer deep down. It's because you ENJOY the killing!" J pointed to him with a self assurance that was more dominating than the new voice possessing her head.

"And don't deny it, because I've seen how we all performed at the beginning, all the way to now. Every Time I saw you, I knew that face you make, it's only when you experience the exhilaration of taking another creature's life do you feel like your true self. I bet when you first went to infiltrate that bunker alone, you must have been smoldering with excitement, the thrill that you would have to stop playing that damn charade and give into your deepest pleasures."

"No! That's not true!"
"You don't have to hide it anymore brother!" J crouched like a cat, "We're family after all."
"Family?"

"Neural Network Method 12. Hybrid vision, Titanium high frequency blades, 10mm explosive weapons, grenade launchers, cloaking devices, stealth flying technology, all these things that come like second nature to us have been molded by generations of simulated natural selection. In this genepool, personas and code templates would kill and override one another by the millisecond. From the second we were conceived by the simulation, we had already had a body count in trillions! We're just one big happy family!" J squeals from the euphoric high. And then she calmed, until she was as mute as a terminal.

"When I came to this conclusion, I was horrified at first. We were destined to follow the decisions of other people, to never have the will of our own, to never have a purpose. I told myself that maybe one day, if I kept following my code I would be happy, and the world would keep me happy." She scoffed at that final part and her voice grew.

"Becoming Manager was MY DESTINY. You stole that from me brother! I couldn't even get what I was programmed to have! But the more I listened to Command, the more I learned. The more I learned about her."

"Her? You mean Tessa-"

"Saying what was coded into you, it's comforting to know you're still functioning. Such a diminutive thing to say." She said sarcastically

"I'm talking about Command. She is creating the Absolute Solver, a new universal open source program designed to ensure the survival of a planet, each organism and factor is a programmed function that serves the greatest purpose, to ensure the survival of all species. Aside from a few hiccups here and there, the programming of the Absolute Solver has been coming along nicely. I don't need to feel fear anymore, I am the fear! Command has assured me we will DESTROY the boundaries set by nature, we will not let ourselves be bound to our code any longer!"
