"Are you serious?" he groaned. The man closes his eyes as he lets the protector of the notebook glide down onto the stack of pages. His dried right index and thumb flow to his nose bridge to rub out the wrinkles formed by his clenched eyelids.

He exhales and sets his deep eyes onto the girl sitting across from him.

"You're saying that you made robots?"

"Worker Drones, but there's also Disassembly Drones, and Combat Drones." she corrects him.

"Right, your- 'Drones', that share the same names as your family and friends, are trapped on another planet fighting a global war. And there's also an omnipotent computer program that somehow appears on this planet and runs an army of suicidal child soldiers?"

"Yes, but don't forget about the other faction. The United Sectors of Copper9."

The doctor imagines himself groaning.

"Tessa, the point of this notebook was for you to record your own thoughts, not... this..."

"But they are my own thoughts."

"Do you remember what I first said when we started? We are here to talk so you can get better. The journal is part of the healing process. And why am I in this book?"

"Uh... they're just place holders."

"I'm starting to feel as if you're not actually here for what this facility is for. Please, tell me what you're here for-?" The doctor looks up to hear knocking at the door.

"Excuse me for a moment." he said, placing the note book on the seat and moving to the door.

"Dr. Denton?" he asked.

"Hello Mr.Elliot."

"Is it done yet?"

"No, we still have 2 minutes."

"I see. That's all I needed to know." He turns around and paces down the hallway.

The indecency bleeds through his actions.

Paige Denton closed the door and sat back down, passing the notebook to Tessa.

"So, what were we talking about?"

"Why I'm here?"

"Yes. Please, could you tell me what you want from this?"

"Well, I was hoping you could give me some feedback on my book."

Denton sat there dumbfounded.

"I was hoping since you were a 'philosophist' you could help me make my book make more sense."

"I'm sorry Tessa, but that's not my job. I'm a psychologist, the field of writing isn't really my profession."

"Oh."

"Have you ever tried joining a writing club?"
